So after a WH stops spawning and we all move out of it, what happens to it? Does it take XX number of days/weeks for it to respawn? Or is permanently dry? How does an explorer know how dry a WH is upon discovery? -----------------

Wormholes are "exploration". Try here.
Either that, or google "Eve wormholes" and click on the first link.

As far as im aware a WH never stops spawning, its just random and sometimes you can get very barren spells. I have lived in 6-7 different WH so far and none of them, or the ones my friends live in have ever stopped spawning stuff altogether.

We live in one w-space system. We close the static and open another until we get a system with lots of new sites to do. It gives us an endless supply.

I'm somewhat curious-
Does the next WH spawn immediately after previous closes, or does it spawn after the previous one would have timed out? *** Wish list for PI:

Immediately. Though there have been times when we've had to wait about two minutes.

Hmm...no. they do eventually stop spawning to the point it's no longer profitable to live in. So I was asking if the spawn rate eventually picks up again? If so, how long? Or is just completely dead and we need to GTFO? -----------------

The spawn is continuous. It never stops. It isn't especially rapid though. Popular theory has it that the respawn is tied the clearing of sites in other systems in the constellation.

The consensus is that once you run a site and it despawns that it will respawn immediately in another system in the region/constellation. So empty systems that do not have any sites run in them will eventually have a lot of sites build up. But like many things to do with WH space, this is mainly conjecture.

The second running theory is a characteristic and frequency approach.
Characteristic in the sense that each WH has a unique collection of sites that it is capable of spawning.
Frequency in the sense that within the same WH this collection of characteristic sites will re-spawn at regular intervals when mapped out across time (on the order of months).
It's very hard to tell which one of these running theories is more correct. It could be that the 'characteristic' sites we see are less characteristic to each individual WH and more a representation of that class of WH in general.

They never dry up, they never stop spawning stuff, it will pick up again.

Yeah, you're right. I was equating lack of profitability for stop spawning and that's not true. It just doesn't spawn enough to be profitable thus forcing us to move. -----------------

I tend to raid adjacent WH and low sec/null systems that spawn when my WH gets a bit barren.

You've just discovered why it's important to find a wh with a static to a wh class you want to farm, not set up the POS in a wh you want to farm, because as you've seen the sites will dry out fast.
Sites don't stop spawning, they just spawn slow and you won't notice it until you've run out of them.

The mechanic is as follows.. Anomalys and signatures etc all spawn again instantly after they are done. They do not spawn again to the same wormhole but to other whole that has matching class and belong to sma whole system as the one where they were.
This is why if you are very active in one whole it will eventyally dry up as the anomalys and other sites are spawning and piling up in unhabitated systems or systems that have very little activity.
Thats why it¦s always better to find a whole that has a static connection to for example class 3 whole that you can then farm. If opening hole is not to your liking you can always close it up and see whats behind door nro 2.
