Best of luck Trader Kim, just get those caps built quickly and I'd really suggest you allow large POS's. When the big C5/6 corps find you they may not be as nice.

dont want any one corp to have a bigger advantage than others apart from members count. if 1 corp goese rogue i dont want them to have the added advantage of a large tower to protect them when the rest of us finaly group up to sort out the problem. there will also be a limit on capships per corp probly 1 or 2 per corp. i know somtimes ppl dont get along so well in confined spaces lol so there will have to be rules to follow and laws of some sort perhaps.

i was sorta hoping if there is enough corps to move in we wouldent need large poses as there would be plenty of players for defence and most likly a crap load more caps that any other corp could bring in to attack us with. well that was sorta the idear

I would think that making large towers mandatory would be the answer then. Moar DEFENSE...

i will be screening all the corps that apply to make sure they are the right corps for the commune. i have the right to deny any corps i feel are not suitable for the project.

More profitable, convenient and far more safe for a small corp just to live in a C2 or C3.
9 chances someone else is gonna screw you over. |

there will be 10 corps if 2 or 3 of them decide they want to take over and forget about the laws then there will be 7 other corps to inforce the laws. thats how it will work the commune will enforce the laws. it will be profitable and a hole lot more fun and alot easyer to defend we can have awsome scout partys and perhaps get a little pvp in. The commune will also have its own teamspeak server setup once everything is in order and we all ready to make the move. this is a project to try out somthing different if you like it lets do this.

Very interesting. However, I don't think you can even build capital ships at a medium POS. So let's say that one or two of your members (or an invader corp) put up a large POS and start making capitals... how are you going to assault them? With battleships? Better let everyone have a large POS and capitals, then you can enforce the peace.
Why not go for a C6 if you're going to have so many corporations sharing the hole?

How will you decide when to collapse the exit and make a new one? What if one group wants to mine the good belts still left in the current C5 exit, but another group wants to collapse the hole to find a new C5 with combat sites in it?

Edited by: Trader Kim on 22/11/2010 03:28:32 yep there are many problems to fix but im sure we can come up with a way to make it work. we might go with the large tower idear to fix that problem. im always looking for idears feel free to post idears here. thank raiden i will check my evemail when i get home from work. my idear involves this c5 i have but if this works i will do it again and go for a c6. this most likly will not be a one off project.

LMFAO! What are you 12 or something?
Originally by: Trader Kim All Towers must be small/medium caldari: Reason for this is to share fuel, And deter attackers, Noone wants to mess with a EWAR tower in a C5.
You know a sieged dread is immune to ewar right? You'll last a couple hours tops when one of the big c5 corps finds you :) First you'll see is a deathstar at a free moon, probably belonging to a reccently joined alt corp. A bit more than 1 day 17 hours after that you'll have been evicted all your hippies screaming at the carebear corp you've tasked with defence. They'll be all butthurt and sitting in station somewhere in highsec having been podded after attacking a bait ship for some stupid rule violation.
The naming convention is also pretty stupid, unless you see both in space you'll never tell the difference between the two Thanatos named ABC-001. When you do they'll both be attacking you. The only thing you do is identify yourself to hostiles.
I could go on listing out the stupid in your post, but its a waste of time.
My advice to you is find a c4 with a c5 static and move in there. Don't allow corps to build any caps till they've passed a trial period longer than a couple of months. Let everyone have large deathstars. Form an alliance.
Good luck, you'll need it

Ok let me spell it out for you as you're still not getting it. I jump into your WH, I hold my cloak on the wormhole, I see a Loki named ABC-001 on dirscanner, I'm flying a Loki. What do I do? I name my Loki ABC-001, decloak and begin to acquire targets, mayhem ensues ...
Standard ship naming conventions are dumb; they just breed a false sense of security that people like me will abuse.

This entire thread has lolz written all over it. lol :)
i'll give you credit for being ambitious and wanting to take on the logistical and managerial headaches as well.
keep us posted and let us know what happens
btw- would it even be profitable enough for a corp to share with 9 other corps on a C5? would a corp in a c2 be better off on their own and keep all the profits? Not sure if anyone has the numbers on this. -----------------
