I've read a bunch of posts about Incursion testing on the test server, and it sounds as if lgistics ships are very useful in anti-Incursion fleets, but also that they tend to die, because the rats keep switching targets (rather like Sleepers, AFAIK).
In light of this, would it be appropriate for Logistics ships to get a slight tanking boost?
I'm thinking something along the lines of +2.5% per level to all shield resists for the Basilisk, and similar shield or armour resists for the other three types.
Maybe also a sensor strength bonus, given that Sansha Incursion rats are said to use ECM a lot. Maybe +1 sensor strength per level.
How does that sound?

Have you ever acually used a logistics ship?
Correct me if im wrong but im sure your meant to use 2 or more of them in a fleet to heal eachother and just fit buffer on the ship itself like most PvP ships.
And just for the record, scimitar shield tanks too

Your proposal would require an additional bonus or the loss of a current bonus to be replaced by the resist bonus you propose. As someone who flies them all, regularly, I would not like the latter and the former is something CCP does not like conceptually.
However, something that CCP could do quite easily to help these ships' tanks is to increase the armor hp on guardian and oneiros, and the shield hp on scimi and basi, and possibly the structure hp on all four. These ships are rather fragile as the stats are atm. A 1600 plate or LSE and the few available resist tanking slots do not enable enough buffer to survive the Drake blob or 1400 arty blob alphas in many fights, and then there is of course the lag to fret through before the reppers cycle on each other if they do manage to survive the alpha.
Some may say, but just fix lag and stop blobbing (which causes the lag). Unfortunately every fight, not just fleet fights, will always involve people seeking a numerical advantage. Regardless, even though I do not agree with your proposed solution, I do agree with you that they need a tank buff, for which some added hp would be an easy solution for CCP to implement. |

If you run the logistic alone then yes it dies, and rightly so. With more than one the amount of firepower needed to drop one is insane.
Have the dps boats vaporize webbers first, once transversal is achieved even sleepers are unable to do more than tickle properly flown logistics.
I sincerely hope the ECM mention is a joke. If they are to use it then they have to be subject to player rules and not NPC rules which is impossible to harden against .. FW plexing has more than proven how broken NPC ECM is en masse.

This.
I remember an EvE University fleet that was roaming around low-sec awhile ago... it bumped into a pirate gang supported by 3 Guardians. The main part of the pirate gang got away but the Guardians were trapped as they were too far off gate. It took more then 10 minutes for a 40 man blob of T1 battlecruisers, cruisers and frigates to take all 3 of them down.
Like hell they need a boost (except maybe the Onerios, that one I have trouble figuring out). _______________________

I can only go by what I've read in the test server forum posts. The Incursion rats do use ECM.
There have been a couple of posts over the years, though, which suggest that in spite of what the devs might have said once, ECCM modules do help against rat ECM.
