Say the pod pilots dont want to fight back for a system....
I assume the longer the Sansha are in a system, the harder they will be to kick out.

Nope.
Unless they are pushed back, they just stay in the affected constellation, blocking all cynos and pretty much making missioning impossible.

There was an if in the title.
So there is no plan for a continued Sansha attack?

I think they are attacking and not staying for long, they kill and purge whatever they can and move out. It can take a week, maybe more, no idea, haven't read any dev blog about maximum duration.
Especiall if with every hour there will be more and more sanshas. Or even a hostile takeover of a station in high sec? Sounds yummy.
BTW - if sanshas appear in high sec... Does concord stop to work? It would be quite obvious it would, since they don't appear to kick the sansha ass pirates, they shouldn't come to shoot any pirates.

Would be nice. Some sort of Sansha/player actions that tic the system sec status up or down depending on the actions of either. Would drive more people than just RP'ers to Sansha's side.
Who knows.. this may be a prelude to some grand plan. All systems can dip into 0.0 status with the empire in control of such system, loses control. And then player alliances can claim sov. Add more to fw.. empire NPCs ships AI.. all out universal war were empire clash with player empires. Epic battles over Jita 4 between a Caldari/Gallente empire n player militia alliance vs say, the Goons for control of the entire system, as an example. Amarr prime with IT hotdropping some SCs on top of the Amarrian grand navy of paladins, and crazy counter hotdrops her Abaddon loaded with Isogen-5.
One can dream..

would be superepic if the incursion effects (but no sites) slowly expanded throughout the region if the sansha weren't defeated. Imagine a lowsec incursion into somewhere like The Forge slowly consuming carebear missionhubs and alliance logistics points. Best lowsec boost ever, imho _____________________ Horrors! So eventually Sanshas will control most of Curse, Stain Syndicate various other pockets of 0.0 NPC space.
I suspect that they will also end up controlling much of lowsec once it becomes cool to gank anyone trying to free it up.

If it's superepic than it likely won't be included.
Going by the "What CCP Promises vs. What CCP Delivers" scale, what'll end up happening is that belt rats will be replaced with Sansha rats (if they weren't already), and that's about it. Some RP posts about the formation of a few dozen interstellar treaty organizations to fight the "Sansha threat" will be made, maybe another Eve novel will be written about it, etc.
I'd be very surprised if it lived up to even 1/4 of what it's being trumped up to be. ___________________________________________ The Hero of Kamela The Terror of Tararan The Executioner of Ezzara |

i'm presuming there's some sort of global limit on the number of incursions though _____________________ Horrors! Demons in the deep! |

Confirming superepicness of this idea.
The whining would be superepic also. -----SIGNATURE-----

I can see problems with mustering enough pilots to fight back in nullsec. NBSI has that effect, but more importantly the nullsec corporations and alliances have been the ones most resistant to this expansion. So they'll be stuck with an invasion on their doorstep, and according to some reports gangs with a 5:1 numerical advantage are getting beaten by gate guards on Sisi. So I say 'good luck' with fending off incursions in nullsec.
Empire space is going to be a whole other story. Corporations are already mustering up to fight Nation in empire. I'm not saying it'll be easy, but I don't see a 0.5+ system going uncontested. --------------------

Haha... there are so many carebears in this game that this would be 100% impossible. I'm just waiting for the threads on this forum from people that are complaining about how many other players rush to Incursion battle sites and that rewards are pathetic (because everyone wants in).
