Hi, I upgraded from Vista x64 to Win7 x64 earlier today. After that, when playing EVE, i get disconnected at random. Sometimes i can play for 20 minutes, sometimes i can only play for 4 minutes. I've been keeping a ping -t running on eveonline.com, and everytime i get disconnect, the pings time out and the website also becomes un-available. I've also kept one running on google.com, and it does not time-out, so it is not my connection to the internet that drops. Any clues what could cause this?

Edited by: Ialocin on 21/11/2010 15:59:32 Yea, after reading several other threads, it sounds like it started after downtime. I started my upgrade when the servers went down.

Well at least I know it's not just me then.
I petitioned it and got the generic crash reporting response from a GM. Did what he asked, and nothing since. Be sure to petition it though.

I managed to play for a few hours last night, without any disconnects. I did change the MTU on my net-interface from 1500 to 1280, as someone had mentioned that somewhere, and i figured i might aswell try it. I don't know if that fixed it, or if the problem was just temporary (or if it will come back today).

Myself and atleast one other person suggested that changing the MTU might help with SOME of the DC problems. I know that for myself, doing so has helped me go from having up to 50 DC's in an 8 hour period, to having none at all (other than those caused by poor pc maintenance or my isp going down entirely).
Hopefully you will be as lucky as me and suffer no more DC's, good luck pilot
