Seriously,
If anyone knows how to get rid of these tooltips then I would be grateful to hear from you.
Where is the option to disable them? It might just about be useful if I am being tracking disrupted so I can see the effect on my falloff or tracking (oh wait, it doesn't even show something useful like tracking) but CCP can't actually expect people to want this on all the time? lol
They should let someone that actually PVP's give feedback on these UI 'improvements. (a¦á_a¦â) ~ http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.com/ ~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

i like the new tooltips, but i agree they are too big.
smaller font or less space between lines, much more preferable to the old tooltips. Reading my posts is like panning for gold; most it will be useless, but occasionally you'll find a nugget of gold. |

Delay would be the worst option - denying noobs that need it the information until they're dead anyway whilst still cluttering up the interface for people who don't need it (like hovering over a module to get the perfect timing).
Just add an option to turn it off - why does that seem to hard for CCP? Just hide it under advanced otpions or something... You know... morons. |

not sure why they can't just give the UI to the players and let us do what we want. they've shown repeatedly that every change they make is going to upset one segment of the populace.

Unsure, still having trouble finding out how big a comedy is.
Is it smaller than a drollery, or is it bigger than a melodrama?

you might have a point but , while i am getting older my eyesight is slowly letting me down, even with glasses i sometimes have difficulties , so now that they are bigger is a bit of a blessing tho i agree there should be a option for making them smaller and/ or turn them off completely I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... In the time it takes to evaluate which option to choose, they could have done the right thing and done both.
This isn't rocket surgery.
Customizable and optional tooltip delays have existed in games for years. Here's your sign... |

We updated the new module button tooltips today, Friday, in Inferno 1.2.2, based on your feedback.
Please find information on the new and updated tooltips in this post from CCP Soundwave: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=142498

You know what I would love to see? Some statistics on how many people disable the tooltips in their clients following today's patch.
The feeling I get is that CCP comes up with the idea, in this case it's tooltips. Something nobody really wants or needs. Then they introduce these tooltips into the game, with no ability to turn them off. An obvious upset ensues (show of hands, who here did not see this coming?), and the toggle gets patched in. This is usually where the story ends. But I'd like to see the real ending of the story - how many people disable the tooltips, meaning all that time and effort was completely wasted on a superfluous feature nobody needed after all.
I'm basing this on previous MMO experience, where most people would disable or significantly delay tooltip apperance, because they know exactly what these abilities do. And that's in MMOs where most serious players use keybinds, not mouse, and thus tooltips are much less of a problem.
Having said that though, I absolutely love the in-space tooltips in the tutorial. You guys could do an entire UI based off that, instead of current UI. Would be much more interesting, especially using a tactical overview. But that's a discussion for another time. |

Since they didn't add an option to toggle it off, the answer would be 0.

If they gave the UI to the players, some would still be upset.
