You might consider fixing the shipping prices...
$33 shipping on a $3 piece of foam is pathetic
This has not been addressed in at least the last year.
When can we expect realistic charges?

This issue has been since the start of the EVE store, bazillions of people have commented on shipment pricing and voiced their anger regarding the store being unreachable, mail not being answered etc etc. Nothing has ever changed.
Troll reply would be soonÖ but even that may be optimistic.

they need a European-based distributor, as yes, the shipping charges from US->UK/EU are silly.
That doesn't include customs charges and delivery charges from your own country either.

while this is good, they should first start by changing their shipping company.

It's a clever scheme to get more people to visit Iceland, since return tickets to the UK are cheaper than shipping a box of air from Iceland to Europe :)

àespecially clever since the disappointed customer then have to order the stuff from the US when they get back home anyway. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Well said. I really don't get why the use Fed Ex who really are not international at all. There are plenty of decent companies that really could do this alot better and cheaper. I would love to buy from the store there are so many cool things but I just will not pay those sorts of charges.
I used to work for a distribution company and can tell you for certain Fed Ex are just ripping you off :( --------------------------------------

This for starters. In the past years I ordered many, many items from the US and never ever was the shipping rate above ten dollars to Austria.
Some China electronics manufacturer have even free shipping on their six dollar USB hubs!

for 50 Kg it probably is better to buy a plane seat instead!!!!
I have never gone near the eve store in 7 years, always been terribly expensive postage and the prices to start with are average for stores that have FREE shipping anyway.
I will never get that eve t-shirt unless i can win it somwhow.

Why would they? The store is located in and run from the US, afaik. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

They moved the store to Atlanta after the merger with Whitewolf. America has better links to the rest of the world than Iceland. I'm surprised they don't just use the postal service like MMM Publishing does for the EON magazine.

I recently bought a Caldari Raven model. Shipping to UK region was insane. I still went ahead...and boy what a mistake. It felt as if I was importing illegal drugs thanks to the crappy customs handling of FedEx.
From US I bought many many things, and uses UPS (amazing experience) and DHL (good experience). FedEx...I'm not going to buy anything from Eve Store unless they change shipping.

At least UPS doesn't leave the new "whatever I ordered" in front of your apartment door and not even bother knocking to see if anyone's home. I hate Fed Ex with a passion that is almost unholy. I would trust Sherpas with pack mules to get my package there faster, cheaper, and more accurately. --Vel

oh god yes there is so much crap I would like to buy from the eve store, and then you idiots charge insane amounts of money for shipping.
I've ordered lots of **** from Amazon (the us one) and the shipping was fairly low. Get it sorted out, for the love of god, how hard can it be?

To add insult to injury, within the US they offer free shipping. I bought some bits at the store 2 nights ago and it's coming "super saver FedEx ground". This means it will be delivered by an old man on a pony at some point during 2011, but at least I have that choice.

Because online stores still require human intervention and is based in the US where there is a major holiday coming up. Better that they let you know the store will be closed than have people complaining as they thought it would be open. .
