Kidzukurenai Datael - Thanks for the kind feedback. This project has been in development for sometime, and hoping to deploy some additional features soon. Today we finally installed the SSL for sensative information.
Knupp - The current Client app version is 0.96 which is what you have installed. This new version is not manditory since no code breaking changes, so it should not prevent you from uploading the market data. I would recommend you re-run the application and let me know what was the previous read out line before the [Transmission Canceled] message.
Thanks again for the feedback.

Sinuous Grace - This forum post is the beta invite. You can use the beta key listed at the top of this post to register.
Knupp & Flip - I am looking into the issue that you are reporting about the client reporting the wrong version. To help me in my troubleshooting could you please let me know what operating system you are running and if 32 or 64 bit. The current version of the Marketron Client is v.0.96 and is downloadable from https://www.evemesh.com/Members/Market/Download.aspx . You will first need to manually uninstall the old version, using add/remove programs, before attempting to install the new version. We are working on automating the client upgrade process, but not ready for release just yet.
Neroo Tal - Yes a definite must have feature. In fact already have a working version which will be released as part of our next round of upgrades. No ETA on that yet.

Thank you for your patients.
I have deployed an updated version of the Marketron Client version 0.96b. This update addresses the issue reported by several people regarding the client version not being compatible with the web service API and/or converting to decimal value.
You can download this optional updated version at https://www.evemesh.com/Members/Market/Download.aspx. You will first need to manually uninstall the old version, using add/remove programs, before attempting to install the new version. We are working on automating the client upgrade process, but not ready for release just yet.
Please let me know if the issue has been corrected or still occurring with the new version, 0.96b.

Good find Jay. We did not compensate for individuals that have the test client installed (SiSi). We will make the necessary modifications and release an update along with the following features:
- Ability to minimize client application
- Ability to store and reload client configuration (i.e. username, password (encrypted), file path, etc) when application is launched and closed
- Removal of empty market log data files, to prevent ôfailedö messages from being reported
- Auto re-try of eve cache export files since not all cache files are processed during the initial pass due to file locks
- Fix eve cache exporter to compensate for individuals that have the test client installed (SiSi)
I do not have a definitive ETA for this next update release, but should have it sometime this week. Thanks again for everyoneÆs help.

Good question Greshick. In the short term we do not have plans on expanding the non-member section of the website. The reason for this is that the concept behind EVE Mesh, is to mesh game related content and this includes the EVE API. Additionally the website is built in such a way to allow registered members to tailor the website experience via administrable settings and defaults. That being said, we are currently focusing on building out additional member functionality which incorporates the API with the Marketron and beyond. Once these features are completed, we will review the functionality and determine how much of it can be exposed to non-members (i.e. no API), and still retain relevance.
As for the ability to view the item value in all regions, we currently offer a ôcompareö feature, where members can compare the price of a given market item across multiple regions that have had their data updated within the last 7 days or 6 weeks. Comparing data across ALL regions is not very practical considering that the market data is not consistently updated for all market items across all regions. We are working on additional ways to view, compare and manipulate the market data, but not ready for release yet.

Edited by: Bolavaz on 06/01/2011 01:29:42 Edited by: Bolavaz on 06/01/2011 01:28:29 Sorry for the delay in my response, and thank you for being patient. Unfortunately over the holiday break we were unable to complete all our modifications for the next upgrade release. We are now tentatively planning on releasing the next round of upgrades this coming weekend.
In the meantime I wanted to clarify the confusion regarding the Marketron client log location. By default the Marketron sets the log location to C:\Users\<username>\Documents\EVE\logs\Marketlogs
This file location has dual purposes. This directory is used by the EVE Online client to place manually exported market logs, when you click the ôexport to fileö button in the in-game market window. The same directory is also used by the Marketron to temporarily place the exported EVE cache market data files via the libevecache library. As a result the Marketron client will upload market data that was exported to file manually and via the eve cache library from this log location.
The issue with the Marketron client not being able to find the EVE Online cache location is due to the current method of identifying the cache file path. The EVE Online cache location has several dynamic components, so we read the EVE Online uninstall registry key to assist in the file path construct. On certain computers this method does not result in the correct cache file path. At first we were under the impression that this issue was isolated only to those individuals who have the EVE Online test client (SiSi) installed, but we have since identified other scenarios that cause a similar issue.
The EVE Online client version (i.e. 252) in the file path should not be an issue, because the Marketron client will always take the highest version number as the current cache location.
We are working this week to finish the fix for this EVE cache file path issue, and should be ready for release soon.
Thanks again for all the feedback.

Edited by: Bolavaz on 10/01/2011 18:08:45 We have released a new Marketron Client upgrade, version 0.96c.
After extensive research into the various ways to automatically retrieve the EVE Cache folder location, we have come to the conclusion that there is no sure way to accomplish this while at the same time accommodating all the different installation scenarios. We have decided to go with a hybrid approach where the Marketron Client will attempt to identify the correct EVE Cache location, but still give you the ability to manually change it. The best of both worlds!
This new Marketron Client upgrade includes the following features
- Ability to minimize application to system tray and manage application from tray context menu
- Automatically saves and retrieves Marketron Client configuration settings from registry
- Fixed issue with empty market log files being reported as skipped. Now blank files will be removed instead
- User ability to specify EVE Cache folder location
You can download the new Marketron Client here.
Please be advised that you will need to manually uninstall the old client version before installing the new upgrade.
The next round of EVE Mesh website upgrades have been delayed due to a cross browser compatibility issue when we lock the market data gridÆs column headers while scrolling. We are working on resolving this bug and hope to have it deployed soon. Not ETA on this yet.

Xaarous,
Based on the debug text you posted looks like the Marketron Client did not find your eve cache location automatically which is why the file path was defaulted to the partial path of " C:\Users\Xaarous\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\".
I would suggest you click the browse button (...) to the right of the EVECache textbox and browse to the location you found: "C:\Users\Xaarous\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\d_program_files_(x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility\cache\MachoNet\87.237.38.200\252\CachedMethodCalls"
(or copy paste into the textbox)
This is how you can manually tell the Marketron Client where to find your eve cache files. Please try running the app with these changes and let me know how it goes.
P.S. The Log Location textbox is used for manual exported files, and temporary exported cache files.

Glad to hear it works Xaarous. I can see now how that can be a bit confusing if it failed to find the path, but it pre-populated it for you with a partial. We will change it so it will leave the cache location empty if it fails to automatically find the directory path.

Hi Devlynsands,
I have unlocked your account. Please try again to login to the site. As for the secured authentication, we are using an SSL to protect pages that require the transmission of sensitive information (i.e. username / password). I have inspected the http request during the login via Fiddler and am unable to see the credentials being passed to the server. Can you EVE Mail me some details as to how you came to the conclusion that you are able to see these credentials being passed to the server?
Thanks in advance
