Just more evidence of dumbing the game down. Still eventually people will not need to use their brain as the game will do most of it for them. |

In my defence the reason I got this message is that I picked up a mission, the goods wouldn't fit in the ship I was flying, so I went to market to buy a bigger cargo hold. I saw the message and thought, "I bet some poor developer at CCP spent ages putting this feature in, and they probably think it's really nice."
Whoever that developer is, just beware of Ferengi Rule of Acquisition #245: No good deed goes unpunished. Or alternately, that one about, "Feed a man a fish, you've gained a dependent. Teach a man to fish, you've lost a customer."

Well its a nice addition. Really after doin those missions for few hours those things happen as u loose concentration. Its really not dumbing down, u have to put the items again in your cargo as u did before, so nth really changes. Missions needs to be a bit simplified and made more interesting cos atm they are in a really poor state. |

Of course it's dumbing it down. Won't be able to jump in the ship fly off on a mission get there and discover you've forgot the item. Done that a few times myself in the past, usually because I've been a bit lazy at reading the mission info.
Missions are simple enough now, make them simpler just makes them boring and nothing much more than an isk cash-cow. |

Seriously, your complaining about the game getting easier yet your spending your time running courier missions, COURIER missions. Becasue flying from one place to the next was really testing your skills in the first place.
People think before you speak, these changes are making the game simpler not easier, tool tips to show gun range save time, reminding you to bring cargo makes life allot nicer becasue flying back through gates allot sucks balls. |

Well as he did not specify which type of missions in that last line. I took it to be a general comment about missions especially as you can't make courier missions simpler except for making them shorter. |

Lol, I don't even do courier missions these days, only ever done courier missons as part of a set of missions in the past from the most combat giving agents I could find.
All these changes to save time as you call it, makes the game easier. Trouble is the dumbing down of a game happens over a long period of time and it's the accumulation of the changes that makes the biggest impact. |

i dont mean to simplify the core of the missions. But things like the new UI where u dont have to constantly open and close your journal and this thing now about remembering ppl to put the cargo. But about the core like shooting and other things should make much more random (random spawns, random ships and why not some random gate camps of npcs where they ll try to scram your transport ships).

Making information as accessible and easy as possible and reducing the number of clicks to the bare minimum is not dumbing down. It is increasing efficiency. You know, similar things to what say for instance the military spend tons of resources on all the time, all over the world.
Mission reminder that you haven't picked up your cargo is not dumbing down. That is in fact merely a (IMO) bad patchwork for fixing a system that is rather weak to begin with. Cargo could have been added directly to the hold but I doubt that even that would be an optimal solution depending on the situation.
A message that pops up and warns you that a ship has warped on grid whilst you are mining, suggesting that you should perhaps warp off cause there is always a chance that you can be attacked by other players....or even worse, have a toggle feature that does it automatically for you, now THAT is dumbing down the game.

This has been in the game since I started playing again, so about a year now. You're a bit late on complaining about it.
EDIT: It also warns you if you undock to do a mission like Damsel if you dont have room in your cargo if I remember correctly. Think i've undocked brimmed with cap boosters a few times. |

Hrm GǪ I'm sure there's been at least one instance where I've left the station without the cargo, but I've not seen this dialog. Perhaps the setting to dismiss it has been reset during the patch?

Really, you would rather the gaem let you make 15 jumps so you have to make them back again, do you do courier missions for the thrill of not knowing if you remembered to bring the cargo, or do you do them to earn isk very easily with minimum effort. Be realistic.
I can only assume your trolling as i fail to understand how anyone could come to this conclusion otherwise. By your train of thought we shouldnt be abel to right click and set destiantion, we should have to look at the map and plan a route. What you need to play is a SIM game. |

After reading this I am sitting here asking myself. How does this change make the game worse for people not flying distro missions? I just don't see it. I know there are those who will use the slippery slope argument, but really. A "You forgot your cargo" warning is making the game worse?
This almost as bad as the "my missle range spreadsheet is obsolete" complaint.
Time to get back to my courier missions. I hope I didn't forget my cargo. Oh wait, I don't have to worry about that anymore. Time to unsub. |
