I singled out FW because it can be argued then living in, fighting in 0.0. It is also inherently noob friendly because new players come and go and there are less arrogant, elitist corp recruictment practices (I think).
With the changes to learning skills every new character will me able to be in a viable t1 BC within 14 days, a t1 cruiser with good core skills in 7 days. And a tacklink frig with god nav, shield, cap, fitting in just a few.
How do you think the new changes will effect new player PVP? Negatively? Positiely? How do you think it will afftect FW if at all?

Nope...we got plenty of e-peen waving groups too (scrolls through this very forum...). And while FW is "easier" for a "noob" to get into, it is far from "noob friendly".

Not at all. SP =/= pilot competence and application of said SP... |

It's fair to say that CCP thinks it will be a positive change.
FW is a mixed bag for noobs. On the one hand it's easy in terms of you don't need a lot of SP, you are in Empire which makes logistics easy, your stuff (what little you have) will always be accessible, and there tends to be enough activity to make it worth your while.
One the other hand new characters are often not welcome in fleets because they are often considered to be spies.
Overall I think noobs are better off in 0.0 flying Rifters for a large corp/alliance.

I don't think it will change too much. Just means new players can get into the game faster. It won't impact where they ultimately go.
Thus far you shall read, but no further; for this is my sig. |

I've participated in nullsec and lowsec fights, spanning from solo to huge lag-fest battles. Nullsec is more lethal, but IMO, low-sec combat is more complicated. Ultimately, a two-week old character will have more skill points, but will not have either the wallet or experience to be effective in FW. That's not to say they're worthless, but certainly will still face the same steep learning curve that noob FW players face today. So, I see status quo for FW and the game in general.

Greetings:
After a little over a month in Minmatar FW, I've found it continues to be a blast with some minor annoyances (but you get that no matter what).
No matter which FW side you join (personally I prefer Minmatar since it is less blobs -- not zero, but less -- allowing for more solo to small gangs), I do recommend finding a corporation to join that will help you get up to speed.
Prior to joining Minmatar FW, I was in Eve University for approximately four months. While in Eve Uni, for PVP, I shipped up as skills allowed to where the battle cruiser hull became my favorite type to fly, when I joined FW, I quickly learned to ship down, down, down.
I do recommend flying frigate size hulls until you get the hang of pvp mechanics (session timers, gate camps -- getting away or how to identify and avoid, tactical book marks, and the like).
Even though I've been in Minmatar FW for a little over a month now, I still prefer frigate to destroyer size hulls only shipping up to cruiser/battle cruiser size hulls only when in a fleet that needs them (and even there if the opportunity exists to be in a smaller hull, then I fly a smaller hull).
Thank you.

I think it will work out great for fw because you will get more players viable in less time. The fast new players that want to pvp can get into it and be viable the better. It will make experience and savy count for more as well. Hopefully it will attracy newbs and alts so we can get an influx of new talent and cruiser down gangs don't go the way of the dino.

It will give players a chance to get into FW sooner, and skill up faster once they're there, but that's it, to be honest. Learning how to fight is a personal skill and while SP makes a big difference,it won't help you if you make elementary mistakes.

This, the only difference is noobs will actually do ****, rather than hanging around skilling up learning skills. All that does is decrease their down time it shouldn't change their abilities as a player or the game's steep knowledge curve.

FW needs less pants, tbh.
And yes, quicker silling without boring learning skills means people get their feet wet faster, which is a good thing for FW. \o |

FW as with any PvP is far from "noob friendly", EVE is just a damn difficult game whatever way you look it.
However, it's a really great place to learn pew pew, and there are a lot of corps (like mine) that take in newer players to show them the ropes. ~
