Because no matter what CCP does at this point, somebody is going to find something to ***** about.
This thread is a jewel though because when I read it, this is what I heard in my head: "Who does CCP think they are shoving this down our throats!!!! The majority want learning skills stop shoving things down our throats! Stupid pro-bama players."

This also wasn't wholly CCP's decision either, they had several meetings with the CSM regarding this and the CSM members approved of it.
If you don't like the views of the CSM members then you shoulda voted. If you did vote and the candidate that supported your values didn't get in, then it proves that you and the others that shares those views are a minority. And if your candidate DID get in, he/she and any other CSM members that shared your view were still considered a minority when it came to the meeting they had with CCP that resulted in this change.
You don't matter, so you might as well give me your stuff on your way out. Either that or HTFU. Good day sir.
And that is exactly why Iceland went bankrupt when the Mortgage Meltdown struck America...

This thread == poop However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs. second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

Originally by: CommmanderInChief i sort of agree. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TRAIN LEARNING SKILLS. You are not forced to! Its only to make your training time quicker.
As people have said all along learning skills were not a real choice, it was a matter of when to train them rather than if to train them. If you did not train them early then it would be like shooting yourself in the foot and trying to run a marathon.
Originally by: CommmanderInChief
Infact its the eve community that tell people to train learning skills when they start. Not the game.
Of course the Eve community would tell new players to train the learning skills as soon as possible because it was the logical thing to do. Although people did tell them to mix in other skills but this did not help when they got to the longer training time skills. Not talking about rank 3 level 5 skills either.
Originally by: CommmanderInChief And who says this is what puts ppl off. Thats total rubbish
It's a fact that learning skills did put people off of this game (not saying it's the only thing but it was a major factor), not a myth.

That's a choice.
Originally by: Forum Guy Of course the Eve community would tell new players to train the learning skills as soon as possible because it was the logical thing to do.
Well apparently not, since this supposedly caused people to quit the game. Quitting is a most ineffective strategy. -

Funny how you did not quote the whole sentence.

No, that just shows that the learning skills should never have been in the game, not that the peoples advice was wrong.

People quit over nonconsenual PvP. Obviously this shows it should not be in the game!

That's not the same and you know it.
Look learning skills are gone (soon will be) and most of the community are happy with that decision.
As I said before in another post. We did ask for genuine good reasons for keeping them and none were put forward.
The arguement for keeping them seems to be all about the individual that likes them. Whereas the people that wanted to get rid of them were not just thinking about themseleves.
Learning skills will be going and I think Eve will be a better place without them.
I also think as CCP has said in the past they were a mistake adding them to the game (or words to that effect)that CCP would also be happy to get rid of them.

Very glad that they are being removed.

op your a dumbass
if u actually read the blog u would have noticed that u get back all the skill points u invested in learning skills to reassign to other skills (for me jump cal 5)
you also get 12 attribute points assigned to each attribute
so with starting attributes (based on bloodline) + 12 points + +5 implants u end up averaging int 20 - mem 20 - per 20 - will 20 - char 19.
this will be adjustable via your annual neural remaps to suit. during the character makeover u will get a free neural remap. SIG: if my message has spelling errors its cos i fail at typing properly :P |

You sir, are pretty much why many people hate americans, by having no qualms in mixing your domestic political wars in a game company that has the HQ miles away from your borders. I do sincerely hope that any american, pro or against Obama, will have the decency of telling you down ingame permanently, for you have pretty much made a fool out of your country.
I also must stand by my point that I totally disagree with the rest of your mildly amusing post, and that I must protest with a very profound headdesk.
TL;DR, what the ****, mixing politics with this game? your thread just lost any legitimacy it had. ---

Complexity and choice. Not a lot of either, but since pretty much every argument for removing them is fallacious, it's all you really need. -

And where exactly did you see them say they would only give 2 mil SP back? The way I read it said it would be all of it back. Stop spreading lies.
