Not sure which sun you have been hiding behind. Fanfest tickets are still not available. Neither are the travel deals
The fanfest.eveonline.com/en/news page is confusing, as it says 'tickets are available' but the 'buy tickets' thingy in the top right hand corner reveals the CCP trade marked quote of 'soon(tm)'.
Any ideas when tickets and flights will be available?

Ok, I accept that i'm wrong *potato face*
I'm still puzzled at the links you used. I find nothing on the fanfest site that actually allows me to buy something (information yes, stuff to buy, no). The only link I can find that is useful pushes you the Account Management pages.
The Account Management page has nothing fanfest related. I've been through all the options available.
I'm begining to wonder if my PC is lying to me...
Where should I be looking (useful answers only)?

Edited by: defiler on 29/11/2010 00:28:04 Yep, everything seems legit. At least they took my money (on the 24th, so I'm way ahead of you jason ) and the Amadeus code checks out. Anyway, if you're still not seeing any packages for wherever you're from then you should blame (and possibly nag) Icelandair, not CCP.
The only thing that's missing is some sort of confirmation for the included fanfest ticket. Will we get one or will it work like the hotel where you just show up with your booking confirmation?
edit: and obviously you posted a reply after I started writing this. I suspect that jason did like me - didn't go through the EVE-O website but went straight to icelandair.com and then the appropriate page for your country (which?). Should be event packages available...

I'm now booked, wifey and me. etickets and the rest have arrived and have been printed. all i need now is to book more flights and another convention which happens a few days prior to FF2011.
I have to say, it was a bit of chore finding all the information needed and fighting my way through the readily crashing web sites.
I'm half tempted to write a mini FAQ. I'll see if there is enough material for one.

When it comes to booking stuff, that's my job. She tends to get lost in all the choices. We would still be thrashing our way through the options if she was driving the process.

well if the 2004 one was anything to go by we all just got ****faced and larked about cant really comment on the following ones as I wasnt there but i reckon the benchmark was set then so i am assuming its been the same since .my only concern is that when i was in spain this year i found a bar that had free wifi but when i attempted to login to play eve one afternoon i got a message stating that i was logging in from a different ip address range and that i couldnt play .so this may be something that may need further investigation .i may stick a postup there somewhere to get more clarification from a mod .

Edited by: defiler on 04/12/2010 16:43:28 Well, I've never been to blizzcon or anything similar, so I can't tell you how this will be different.
However, with three fanfests under my belt I can tell you that standard procedure seems to be:
- Drag your sorry arse to the venue
- Sober up while
- going to presentations
- just chilling out
- getting a little tipsy again (they do sell beer. also food, coffee and pastries)
- playing eve on the handful computers they have there or on your own laptop
- any combination of the above
- As the venue closes, fleet up and hit the town
- Repeat ad nauseum
About the wifi, I didn't have any problems at all last year and I could log on both from the hotel and the venue. Some dev/gm can probably clarify this, but if you can't get on due to your new IP, isn't it enough to try to log on to the forums and name one of your characters? I believe that should whitelist that IP range.
