How about a "privileged journalist" in a "privileged ship & account"
Hi,everyone. I have an latest issue to share with you, about a CCP's new action in their "Chinese Server"
They give a player(some news say that this person isn't a normal player but an semi-offical GM, not confirmed) a "privileged" account, the character in this account has -10B skill points, drive a "privileged" ship named "North Star Observer"(with 0-0-0 slots, without any weapon, and immune to be locked(couldn't be locked by player) , with 99% resistance), this character also are not allowed to active any other ship.
Such a "privileged journalist" has a special mission: Go into 0.0 zones, and report the battle, then go back safely. Before CCP's action, journalists(normal player) are always killed on their way to the battlefield or in the battle, some of them are accuse by alliances as spys. Some alliance even set these journalists'standing to -10 and buy their KM from 100M ISK to 1000M ISK.
CCP's and their proxy in China then "Create" the "privileged" account mentioned.
Some players say it is a kind of interference to the EVE game. They arouse to set up a Journalist Protection Rule to protect journalist, those who play the game by a normal account.Such as, journalist have special marks before their ID(like ISD),join into a NEWS Corpertation, their security are protected by CONCORD.If any one harm the journalist, the person and the alliance he serves will be punished by lots of ISK and standing.
I don't konw how journalist survive in our Tranquility, is there any "privileged journalist"? Are they facing security problem in 0.0? If there should be some way to protect journalist(if there is any), which one you prefer? "privileged journalist" or "Journalist Protection Rule"

I actually like the idea in essence, I believe the hard part would be finding someone who would not abuse the power. It could be interesting to have a hopefully unbiased report on a battle, including screens and video. |

Um, we do have this...
"North Star Observer" Is the Polaris (The North Star) Observer, the ship given to ISD:IC members...
IC being interstellar Correspondants, the guys who write the player news.
They also fly out to 0.0 space, observe fights, and report on them. |

The only Polaris frigs you see are CCP devs/GMs checking on the nodes. |
