So, I had three inactive clones and one active one.
I flew to Amarr (with a clone that had no implants at all) where I already had a clone with lots of implants. After getting there I logged out to do something and when I logged in a few mins later the clone with no implants was gone and I was left with the one that had lots of implants.
According to this description this should not have happened:
"You can however jump from your current body in Rens with the perception implant, to your inactive jumpclone in Rens with the willpwer implant without destroying any jumpclone. "
Linkage
I wanted to install implants in my empty clone (which I had flown to Amarr) but it no longer exists after relog.
It should be possible to have two clones (an active and a passive) at any given station, according to the description.
Now I'm unable to install the implants since the clone I'm left with has very expensive implants (that are otherwise useless for my purposes right now) and have no idea what to do. I'm also short of one clone.
So what's going on here?

This is the first time I've heard of a jumpclone simply disappearing while being logged out (and I do tend to hear about issues with jumpclones).
Your story doesn't mention you making a clone jump. You must've made one at some point.
There are only 2 ways to lose a jumpclone: 1) Manually destroy it using the 'destroy' button; 2) Getting 2 jumpclones in 1 station (active body at location A, jumpclone at location A and location B, jumping from A to B).

Not sure if this has always been the case, but if you try to do (B), then there is a nice popup warning that you need to accept before it actually happens. I was just saved by this a few days ago. |

I know it's said you can have two jumpclones in the same location nowadays, but I still avoid that. Safest is just to upgrade your current clone in a station nearby. --

I think I remember seeing a youtube video on this "2 clones, 1 jump".
