Edited by: Etna Hol on 03/12/2010 09:29:44 I'm going to run missions when I have time play this game. I want to maximize the mission rewards from agents (isk and LP).
I will be putting the skill points in: Military Connections V High Tech Connections V Negotiation V
What about training Social V and Connections IV or even V - these skills effect standing.
Does increased standing with agent and/or his corp effect the missions rewards? If so how much - example: If I have 5,0 standing with (agent/corp?) I get 1000 isk and 10 LP for some mission. After I get higher standing with the agent and his corp (6,0 standing) can I get 1100 isk and 11 LP for the same mission? (flame me if this example is confusing)
I'm maybe blind but I have not found concrete information about this subject yet.

Well, agents have a rating called quality. You can access higher quality agents when you have better standing. The higher quality agents give out better rewards. For example, a level 1, quality -20 agent gives out crappy rewards like 10,000 isk. A level 1, quality +20 agent gives out rewards similar to a level 2 agent, around 100,000 isk. This exact scaling won't always apply, but hopefully you get the idea.
Thus, if you get high Connections, you'll be able to access the higher quality agents much faster initially. High Social will allow you to progress to better agents more quickly as you do missions. The bonus from connections diminishes as you progress to the higher end but provides a large starter bonus, whereas the social bonus increases as you get further through the standing.
If you have some friend who already has good standing to start missions for you, then you probably don't care about either of these. If you already have high standing, perhaps through your corp, then you probably also don't care. If you're on your own and you're starting missions from low standing (near 0) then these make a big difference. If you want to do missions for someone that you have negative standing with, pick up diplomacy - it's very similar to connections, but it's for negative standing only.

Thank you Funesta for your reply.
But I'm still looking for an answer.
Do I get more mission rewards (isk and LP) from certain agent when my standing with him or his corp/faction increases?

No, the better quality agent the better rewards. If you go to Character sheet, standings, click the info button for tribe or corp you want to raise standings with and then click agents, you can find where the better quality agents are for the faction.

Yes. Under the info for the agent one of the tabs tells you your "effective" standing to the agent. Thie higher this is, the higher the rewards you get. If you work a lot with a certain agent he will reward you more than lower ones would.
Also, the lower the sec the mission is, the higher rewards. I have heard that each .1 sec is equivalent to 10 points quality more or less.
