You have not posted your system specifications.
You have not posted anything that you do before the crashes.
You have not posted anything you have tried to fix the problem.
Very little help can be given without this information.
All I can advise is to clear the cache. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

While I understand your sentiment Lork, the issue Guide Darius describes is something a lot of us are experiencing. What he didn't do was read the five or six above threads where the devs spoke of the issue as well.
Darius, sad to say you are in the same boat as many of us. Tried again last night, havent been able to really "play" since the expansion. Lost 7 drones to disconnects, it's annoying. If I were a core PVP'r the game would be completely borked for me.
It better be fixed soon either way, Comcast has been eating what it thinks are encrypted p2p packets openly for a long time. It was a bad move on CCP's part.

I believe you are describing a different issue, Darius is describing actual crashes, not simple disconnects.
BUT, in any case, proper reporting and full description of the events can lead to an accurate solution quicker.
For disconnects, I would speak to your ISP about poor service and possibly changing due to it, check your router for port settings and IP refreshes and your personal system's firewall or AV for program filtering or over draconian protection; for which a software firewall is often superfluous if you have a router anyway. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

I think it is the same issue. The no-error crash, followed by an eve-client restart. There is a 15 page thread going above.
As to what you should do? Quote: C-3PO: We seem to be made to suffer. It's our lot in life.

Not that I think you are entirely wrong, but when troubleshooting it's easiest to get down to this, "what changed". For almost all of us it's just the expansion. No problem, expansion came out, problem. Seems pretty cut and dry.
As to why the problem occurs, that does need to be narrowed down. And I will be submitting a full packet capture showing my disconnects (aka no-error crashes). I doubt that it has anything to do with port settings, AV defs, I am almost certain it's one of two things: packet changes (be that protocol or encapsulation) or server-side response problem. Both stemming from the update.
