Are there any ETC retailers that don't require a phone verification of my payment details? Tried several of the listed official retailers, but they all demanded this.
For certain reasons I can not use a phone, so that isn't an option.

No phone? Are you in an underground bunker riding out Y2K or something? - It's not "Play through a pre-set story, become stronger, do endgame". Gameplay is open ended, and you make your own story. Unless you're too afraid of 'pvp grief' to do anything relevant |

Sure, here, just be prepared to pay a lot in postage.
If all you need is PLEX you can get it from the account page on the left.

Don't email photos of cards Don't speak on the phone with anyone. If only just confirm "yes you did make the order" and that is it. Certainly don't comment on card details over the phone unless you are phoning a specific number yourself.
There are many phishing scams coming out of Asia way & eastern Europe so steer clear of anything in that direction. [/center]

That's a little paranoid - iirc shattered crystal asked me for the location of the nearest hospital to confirm my place of residence (which I was ofc happy to give).

From BattleClinic/Deep Space Supply:
Verification Process
If this is your first purchase, welcome! WeÆll work to make this transaction as smooth as possible without intrusive verification methods like nosy phone calls.
1. First, you'll need to load up your cart with merchandise. 2. Next, hit checkout and create your account. 3. You'll be directed to PayPal for payment. When youÆre done, theyÆll send you back to us. 4. Our staff will review the account according to our business practices, and process your order. This is usually really fast û like 15 minutes or so! Sometimes it takes longer, depending on our queue. 5. In some cases, we may phone you with a ôrobo-call.ö The pleasant robot will give you a 4-digit number that you'll need to type into our website. If you canÆt accept this call or you miss it, you wonÆt be able to complete your order. Please be sure you provide a working phone number. 6. That's it! When we deliver your code(s), youÆre verified and all future orders will be sent to you within 15 minutes.
Please see our FAQ if you have additional questions.

It's surprising the amount of information that is asked for that people don't actually need. None of this is relevant and it has been made up by the retailer. Most decent systems setup use the verified by visa/MasterCard system these days which is your and the vendors security.

It's a combination of Paypal and goods delivered virtually. It's not as if you have to supply a valid shipping address if your intent is scamming. And with the rampant RMT going on I have a feeling they do everything in the book to get free gametime for their bots.

Try these guys:
http://www.evetimecode.com/
They will call you up one time, ask you a series of questions that only the person sitting where you are sitting could know (no one in China for example could answer fluently), then no more phone calls.

Edited by: Hivsen Ng on 09/12/2010 14:05:37 They use all that authentication and verification because that discourages scammers, regardless of whether they actually need that info or not.
Glad to see OP has been discouraged. I'm not insinuating that the OP is a scammer. Oh wait, I am.

Zing!
Just give them the number of a public payphone or a friends house or something, surely you have friends? You must live somewhere close to a phone that you can use, I mean you have internet..
Unless this is just a cover because you're actually 12 years old with your parents credit card and you're too afraid to let them call you

I had a hard enough time just finding an ETC retailer that doesn't use PayPal. I can't stand PayPal...they are a scam right along with eBay. As for phone confirmation...it ****es me off, especially with the idiotic questions they ask.

I'm sure you also bury your money in your backyard cause you don't trust banks!
And op can you not buy from ccp? I don't understand no cc debit check or mail money order? If you have a phone you can get it charged to your bill. I call something fishy!
