I run windowed so I can watch films or use a flash compatible browser.
And removing windowed mode would solve nothing in relation to bots. You obvious have no idea how these things work.

LOL.
I use window mode and I don't use bots. And I'm sure you'll still get bots if they removed window mode.

Wine can run fullscreen applications in a virtual desktop, and I'm sure software on Windows can do that too. So, that would be ineffective and inconvenient for a lot of users.

Edited by: Musashi IV on 12/12/2010 23:53:55 To start with CCP should go after the home made macro users by changing how the mining lasers do thier job. The ice mining laser would be the least incovienent for players. Have response window appear in a random location at the end of every cycle. If the player does not respond by the time the next cycle ends they lose thier ore. The key is a random location. It would take very sophisticated macro to find the random windows answer box.
Another more simple method is to take away the shortcut key to undock and place the undock icon in a random location evertime someone docks.

Wouldn't it be nice if people put some minimal thinking effort into their 'brilliant' proposals before they posted? Lilke, um, good luck managing your two toons at the same time -- say, to spider-tank yourself -- without window-mode.

FYP - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

Have your ship "malfunction" from time to time, and then you have to play a minigame to save it or it goes kablooey :D

The solution is simple - make eve uplayable on computers with multicore cpus.
If only 1 program can run at once, botters wont be able to play the eve client and run the bot program. Problem solved.
Imagine all those botters with 8 core cpus running 4 eve clients and 4 bot programs, they must be making an amazing amount of isk.
So just make it run on single core computers only, I'm amazed nobody suggested it already ?

I have a better idea: Remove ISK. That's going to kick'em off their feets!

Give it a week with your solution and 2 things happen:
1. The bots which were using windowed mode would adapt 2. 99% of the 'normal' EVE players would've been so ****ed and whiny CCP would have to revert the change. ---

Obvious troll is Obvious. Also, those with overclocked 4.0+ GHz Pentiums will likely be able to run Eve and w/e bot program they want with few ill effects.
