T3 Invention ingredients, why are these rising? I could understand if we getting the much talked about T3 frigate hulls in the patch but there is no news of that in patch notes. Does somebody know something about this?

my alt lives in a c5 and the drops of melted nanoribbons has significantly decreased. we did a core garrison the other day with a 4 cap spawn and got 14 melted nano ribbons, these are used to make the most expensive t3 components and thus the most expensive subsystems

Also noticed a significant nerf to the droprates of melted nanoribbons.
So i expect prices on them to climb steadily (or really quickly if the usual market-manipulaters catches on) unless CCP changes the droprates again.

Noticed the drop in nano's as well. I was using the new noc ship to salvage tho and was wondering if that had anything to do with it.

We've seen that as well.
Also is just us or is there a REAL imbalance on ancient salvage???
Raise your hand if you have 30,000+ Neurovisual Input Matrix's laying around - when you only need maybe 50 of them to build 1 T3?!!?
I'd love to say we are hording them - but at 400 isk a pop - not worth getting out of bed for.

The reverse engineering ingredients are rising, since they (intact hulls & malfunctioning hulls) are the most difficult or luck based stuff involved in the process. These items are also constantly under severe market speculation and tampering, since the quantities being sold are so low. Add normal datacore highs and lows on top of that, and you have you're answer. Anyways, the actual RE cost represents about 3% of the total cost to make one hull, so just shush and buy the mats.
Also, drawing conclusions about any droprate on basis of one combat site (or even 10) is total bull****. Give us statistics of 200+ anomalies and signatures, then you can cry nerf (well you can cry now also, it's amusing enough). Nanoribbon price is also lower than it's been for many weeks. |

30,000+ Neurovisual Inputs - tell me about it!
cant give you states on last 200 sites, but certainly over the last few months with triple and quad cap spawns most we have had is 22 melted nano ribbons
have a blue corp living in a c6 and they did a quad cap spawn yesterday and got 29

IT'S HORRIBLE!!! THEY'VE COMPLETELY NERFED IT. I did two whole Perimeter Ambush Points and only got 1 nanoribbon.

Interesting, and here I was thinking that I'd been getting a lot more nanoribbons from frigate wrecks than I used to.

Over the last two months caldari decryptors have risen from 5millions to 10millions. The Amarr was rising more slowly. Now Minmatar is rising hard upwards at 700k from 200k. T3 Datacores rise from 2-4k to 7-8k.
SP reallocation cannot be root cause because this rise has been happening over two months and too long for groundless manipulation, there must be a fundamental cause. SP and/or manipulation could be behind acceleration in last few days but there is a fundamental cause of this rise.

As I recall ghost farming of datacores was removed. You might be seeing the effects of that (or the effects of people expecting there to be changes and speculating on them).
Learning skills change does mean lots of people suddenly could use the ships all at once, which certainly would (and did) cause a jump in volume and price.

When will you people just accept that these fluctuations are merely a result of the player market and not drop rates/CCP/patch/whatever?
Stop looking for what isn't there. Random drops are random.

1 radar + 2 magnetometric C2 sites done today, 20 nanoribbons. So, run to the hills and dump your stock, clearly un-nerfed :D |

T3 decryptors and datacores are still rising, how high will/can they go ? Should I replace my consumables or wait for the price to drop ?

T3 datacores (and decryptors) do not come from research agents.

Oh.
Shows you how much time I spend building T3 stuffs.
That part was a bit of a shot in the dark, but the whole "demand jumping with free skillpoints" thing is pretty solid. Expect to be burned if you stock up for a long-term price jump ;)

You need datacores from research agents to perform reverse engineering. For example a hull section requires 3 mechanical engineering and 3 plasma physics datacores to do reverse engineering (go from wrecks to hull bpcs). Likewise the subsystem relics also require research agent datacores specific to each subsystem.
It is true that some datacores are dropped by wormhole sites but they are markedly insufficient to reverse engineer the relics obtained from the same sites.
I haven't been following the datacore or reverse engineering markets recently so I'm addressing the factual issue of if datacores are used not how they have influenced price.

I'm not involved in Invention, nor (alas) do I spend much time in WH's any more - but I do spend a lot of time on the test servers; and I wouldn't be surprised if this was partly to blame....
With Sleepers about to get a lot tougher (or, at least as tough as they were originally supposed to be...) I can see prices going up. If I had more Isk, I'd be stockpiling.

Since the buff to the Sleepers, alot of people that did solo them can no longer do it, i think that must have some influence on the price but i think there are also a few more factors.
