It would be cool if we made the TITAN like a station. So that it needs minerals - (ice) or other minerals and items to fuel the TITAN to be able to run.
please post here if u think this is a good idea and any other things related.

I don't know. Anything that is going to cost 25 billion isk had better not be an isk sink, lol. But, perhaps, there could be a modest degree of upkeep--- just as long as the upkeep doesn't invalidate the tactical significance. Personally, I'd use the Titan for a moneymaker in empire (yes, even is it cost 25 billion). Grab 1 billion tritanium in one region for 1.8 isk per unit, sell it in another region for 2.2 per unit. 400 mil profit :-)
I fear, though, that Titans may never make it into EVE :-(

If/when titans make it into Eve, there damn well better be a huge upkeep.
I do not want a repeat of the battleship syndrome. ____________________________________________ Ideas Lab - Forum Search Feature - Sign me! |

If you ask me, they should add said fuel requirements to ALL ships. Then you will see a ship ratio thats more realistic, and more interesting on the field of battle.
Obviously, larger ships requiring more upkeep them smaller ships.

i see your point but that would get veeeeeeeery boring and monotonous after the novelty wore off, hehe

Why wouldn't they be able to get fuel where they are at? Obviously, there would be demand everywhere, so there would be a distribution of resource everywhere.
Kind of like how gasoline is in real life.
And Dark Eagle, the trick would be to make it cost, but not to the point where it was an annoyance or a showstopper.

Its pretty sure that titans (and all other ships sporting the jumpdrive) will need some kind of fuel to run it, and since all "huge" class capital ships canŠt use stargates anymore, they will be forced to use the jumpdrive which leads to running fuel costs.
But to add a general upkeep cost at this state of the game, with many players having more than one battleships, would be like a stab in the back. --------------------------------------------------------

A stab in the back that would solve several very large issues in this game, like the over abundance of battleships on the battlefield, and their use as a mining platform, even with the advent of mining barges.
I say bring it on. People are going to whine and cry no matter what you do. This particular change makes sense, and would better the game. It would be 100% retarted to make some ships and stations (that pretty much just sit there last I checked) pay fuel costs, and ignore others altogether.
If they don't want to pay upkeep and fuel costs, let those ships sit mothballed in a hangar somewhere.
Thats my two cents anyway.
