Edited by: JessiJames on 15/12/2010 18:58:06 If the servers can not handle it WHY ARE THERE 1700 people in Jita. I am ******* tired to spend 10 minutes to fit a ship, wait 5 minutes until 50 items are repackaged, etc.
Just now i wanted to stack 3 items, i had to close the client because i got "busy" for over 2 minutes.
Tried to buy a skillbook. Clicked OK. Nothing. Tried 3 times. Gave up because i don't want to buy 3 books without knowing it.
Fed up.

Because between a) Jita works like a charm but is limited to, say, 800 people max and b) Jita works however it works with no pilot cap or with a very high cap, like, say, 2000 or higher most people would prefer option B. Why ? Because option A would mean they would be UNABLE TO LOGIN if they logged off in Jita, or would be unable to jump into Jita, and so on and so forth. Which is arguably worse for most of the people involved. _

1) Jita doesn't lag because the server is weak, Jita lags cause people keep coming until it lags
2) 1700 people is like a cap. Traffic control avoid people to get stuck once they are in. More than 1700 and nobody should be able to undock and warp to exit gates. -------------------------------- Fulbert. Miner - Industrialist |

Thats my problem right now. I would rather lag in jita than to get stuck in the login screen

With 1400 it worked ok. Maybe 1500 is now possible, i have no idea.
as for "most people involved", i would like to hear the opinions of guys who spend a lots of time in Jita and have to trade a lot or do empire wars, or whatever.

Fitting Ships in Jita? Stacking Items? You're the problem man. Haul the stuff in or haul it out and then GTFO(ofThere). Use one of the adjacent systems and do the rest of your biz from there remotely.. the database for the market and your 'so-important-assets' can also be used from anywhere else in Forge without the lag. I imagine a fix for JITA could be to disable local chat indefinitely. All the spammers and scammers would be split over the 6 adjacent systems, and perhaps easier to manage. ====================================== Want isk? So does everyone in Jita, so leave before they get yours. ====================================== |

I think you are the problem and your type of mentality. Why make things work better when people like you put on the HTFU Mask and act all hardcore? Because it is hardcore waiting 5 minutes to have the mod you bought appear in your hangar right?
So yeah CCP... fix it because people ain`t paying a subscription for this ****.
Also in before can I have your stuff, butthurt much, bleeding vagina, etc etc, and lock.

1700ppl is a lot. It used to suck with > 200 in system. There are more options open to you than just going to jita every time you lose a ship or need a module.
Sense of perspective, I has it.

You're complaining that you can't have ONE THOUSAND AND SEVEN HUNDRED PEOPLE in one system, virtually all of them in the one STATION, all doing all sorts of rubbish, and somehow it's CCPs fault? How about people stop arsing around in the system, buy your stuff and leave, stop using it as some kind of base. Earlier this year 1-1300 people was MAX, now it's 1700, guess what will happen if they raise it to 2000 .. yes 2500 people will try get in.

Edited by: Hordi LaGeorge on 15/12/2010 23:50:35 I happen to live in Jita, have for a year. Its the only place in the game that has the trade volume to support my present operation. Ive never seen that much lag. I consider alot of lag in Jita to be anything over 10 seconds. I think Ive seen over a minute maybe once.
It does help to not expect things to be fast, take it slow and deliberate, do not stack up server requests, be patient. Then Jita works fine.
If you log into Jita and its full, you get the option to have your ship towed to a nearby system. I just pick one and log in. 75% of the time I'm find I'm logged in at Jita anyway. Apparently room for me became available.
Edit: I do try and minimize my time logged into Jita, log in, do my business, then either fly or log out. No reason to sit and clog up the system.

QFT. I remember when Jita used to be claw-out-your-eyes terrible with 700 people. CCP keeps reinforcing it, and more people keep pouring in until it's near the limit. There is no fix for Jita unless it involves sending people elsewhere.

I am no newbie in this game. Been playing for almost 5 years and been in Jita hundreds of times. And no, never seen such lag as today. I bought some modules for my ship and had to wait EIGHT MINUTES until the transaction was complete and the item appeared in my hangar.
This lag is not normal. I've been in Jita other times with 1700 people and it wasn't this laggy. I think CCP connected the Jita node to support some fleet battle in the south. That's what I heard from some veterans.

This complaining is pretty amusing since this lag has nothing to do with jita at all
I have just been trying to buy stuff off the market elsewhere in the forge... still waiting for my items after 10 minutes :s Im sure all those ppl in jita doesnt make it any better, but its all laggy elsewhere too

Disable market data exports while in Jita, watch the bots fail and the system become manageable.
Seriously the amount of botted orders there must be insane, you can refresh the market details and watch the prices move. Most people will read this thinking it's part of my post, when its actually my sig :P

Wasn't there a Sansha incursion recently there or close by? That would explain your lag as the incursion in Frarn caused lag issues in the surrounding systems I think.
