Started downloading at 15:00 at around 300KB/s on my 3Mb connection and I have now run out of time to participate. :-(

My download stopped at about 40%. I so mad. Even copied the downloaded data, and gave it the appropriate name, so hopefully the download would resume, instead of restarting, but alas, the name is randomised. >:

I'm personally trying fix sisi client 3rd time downloading the 1.05 gigs missing. I enjoy very much that I need to dl same couple hundred megs worth of hair (resCharacterModularFemaleHairHiRes.stuff, missing 129.69 MB (100.000%)) multiple times as that indeed is important part of ship pew-pew action.
We wouldnt want to fly without proper hair now would we :P
Oh well, hopefully majority of the peeps get in tho and test can be done... with nice haircut.
EDIT: Bonus for nice dl speeds tho, at least I've been getting full bw speed from ccp source.

What the balls, you have to be kidding me, the download froze again, at 81.2%.
FEATURE SUGGESTION: Pause resume capability and resumable downloads in the repair tool.

FFS CCP, stop wondering why you don't get enough people for mass tests. Here's a hint: people can't download 1.43GB in under 3 hours unless they've got a T1 line, and if they can't download, they can't help test. Next time give us at least a day's notice if that amount of data needs to be downloaded.

I didn't run any other programs than the repair tool. The repair tool from the link (evepremiumpatch214371-214773_test.exe) was freshly downloaded today.

I know enough about this kind of stuff, and how people relate to that in general, to think it was a valid proposition. Thank you ;-) As of "reinventing the wheel"... CCP already reinvinted the jet engine so, really, it wouldn't be too great a trouble ;-)
Regarding the new sisi client... well... can't say it works too well. Freezes everytime I proceed to remove an extractor control unit, for one thing. Char creator does no better thant approx 5fps at lowest display settings (for _every_ settings) while my proc-ram-mobo-gc-etc. combo is not even a year old.
Yet I'm discouraged to bug report anything since :
- when I bug report an issue (from TQ) that has obviously nothing to do with my OS, I'm barred for being a linux user ;
- my application to ECAID, submitted at least a month ago, got no answer. Probably for same reason as above, but that's a blind guessing attempt anyway.
Oh, by the way: update process did astonishingly smoothly. This piece never ever worked that well for me before!

Couldn't patch using the patch file, repair tool, or the sisi launcher. All failed, even after a 1.4GB download :/.

As per launcher thread, it works on the 3rd go. It'll fail at 1.41GB , then 1.18GB , then 727.11MB. Then you're faced with declining the character creator and getting moved back to fd- (yay moveme channel is working atm) and no bonus SP remain. |

I'm guessing people are able to get in and are currently having fun because there isn't much of a panic about nobody being there for the test.
I'm still trying to get everything downloaded but I'm having general internet connection issues when trying to download this for some reason.

Same here! tried many times to download the full client and using the repair tool, Full install is corrupt and the repair tool freezes and I have to use the task manager to force close.

The "no bonus sp" just results from the fact that a new mirror was set up. (Methinks we're heading for quite a few tears... where's my umbrella again? ^^ )
Just to say: there appears to have been circa 200 people on sisi near the beginning of the test. Fighting with other stuff as I were, I couldn't take part in the "fun".
But there's no reason anything new should be shut down again from sisi, so we all have plenty of time to try it out. Granted: it may not be as easy as tonight to gather one or two dozen pilots, though ;-)

Its actualy not worth connecting to sisi,
I finaly patched the game after 6 times :p. fd is very much broken, there are no beacons and like 80 players online at all.
the new char creater works for now but ingame you wont see any pictures of the others.
the new sp we got from the last tests are all gone and wont come back ( i had 13 mill at all ).
So its much better to stay on tq until this is fixed.
