Edited by: Pandora Panda on 17/01/2005 01:41:03 BoB and Force of Evil definately do, and whoever is setting up in the old CFS regions will probably do so as well.
You'll probably have to pay about 20% refining fees, I'd guess. -------------------------------------------- CONCORD: Kneecapping Pilots for Misdemeanors Since 2003 |

Last i heard BoB were losing control of their claimed territory, so you may well be just wasting your time if you buy one of their passes; they have bigger fish to fry than new miners out to ninja mine crokite in a frigate/cruiser.

Now where did you hear that I wonder. We are not losingcontrol of any of our territories, matter of fact we are asserting more control over the ones we choose to hold as we speak.
But to be perfectly frank, even if we weren't someone else would be around to kill you while mining. Ninja minign however can be done in relative safety. Travelling presents more danger to a single cruiser then mining does tbh.
As for minign passes, we do NOT sell any. What we do is negotiate with a few select industrial corporations and set them to positive standing, effectively allowing them to mine in our protected space in exchange for a refining tax (which is set at 5 or 10% only as far as I am aware). The risk of hostiles interfering with your operations in our space is minimal at worst, since the best regions under our control are lcoked down as tight as a nuns panties.
But as I said, WE select the corporations that get this deal. _______________________________________________

Azmod, if all you want are the rares trade for three or four hours and buy them. If you want some adventure (getting pk that is) then by all means, go there yourself. If you run into a very rotten player rat they'll blow up your ship and make you take all the time to fly home in your egg. |

Hehe.
Nice.
Are you [G] alt ? Or are you F-E, altho I'd expect a bit better of them then to troll threads like this one.
Anyway, no mining passes in the north period. _______________________________________________

Hmmmm, well I know a few miners in our Corp that wouldn't mind giving 10 or maybe 15% for the option to mine in 0.0
Allso some combat pilots will be present to maintain the relative peace in such a belt and no roid would be popped or mined too far down. Said defence pilots would allso assist in any hostility towards those that let us mine in their claimed or protected space.
However I still have to find any Alliance that would allow such a thing.

Indeed that was my intention. Perhaps the information i received was clouded by bias from my own side, or perhaps his response was biased.

I would seriously doubt that any 0.0 alliance would allow mining passes. Most people out in 0.0 are VERY possessive about their rocks and will open fire on corpmates/alliancemates for popping a crokite/bistot/arkonor rock. :)

Maybe that is the reason why Alliances have strict rules regarding mining. Follow those and nobody get's popped by allaince members. Heck I even think they won't get popped in the first place since Alliances tend to solve those kind of problems in a worse way. Like no more mining for said Corp pilots corporation for a set timespan or maybe even a total mining exclusion in said alliance.
Since the high end ore roids have a terrible respawn they must have people who take care as not to pop any roids and mine them till a set limit to make sure the roids will respawn in the best way possible.
Now as to opening 0.0 space to outside miners. I was in an Alliance and I know that outside miners can deplete whole belts of high end ores without the consideration howlong it takes for the roids to respawn. It isn't hysteria. it's roid growth control, which is easier to maintain in an alliance then in unclaimed sectors.
