My insomnia has returned, I now have mild depression and an urge to cry which my cat only understands :(
Ok but seriously this system is bull****, I made the mistake of going after being exiled from gallente / minmatar space (due to FW) which was right after a patch too which meant lagging out in Jita, the 0.01 warfare is awful, the spammers are annoying and the only thing that was entertaining were the scams and people crying to them.
I think it is time we allow players to change sec status of systems via combat, it could be something nice for FW imo, I am sure Gallente or Minmatar would want Jita for their own benefits or Rens / Dodixie for Caldari / Amarr.
A change to the sec status of these systems as they become more hostile too, the reasons for this is to make other systems used more and to allow people to move around, rather than æset destination to JitaÆ.
Or nerf concord, making them killable and preventing them from blobbing.

Edited by: Joe SMASH on 22/12/2010 15:28:33 Would have opposite effect. With a sliding window security status of a system, Jita would quickly reach 1.0 and stay. A very very very small percentage of Jita's population actually sees combat, let alone undocks. Percentage wise, you are far more likely to be shot at in almost any other system in Eve.
That said... With incursions, I would love to see one of the effects in high sec to be a slowly dropping security status of the system if the incursion is not dealt with in a timely fashion. Maybe 0.1 lowered every hour the incursion is active after the first hour. -----------------------------------

I'm sure the nullsec alliances would love to have their home systems shoot up to 1.0 (or even 0.5) so that Concord could WTFBBQ anyone who invades them, and they can focus on other stuff.
Expect huge amounts of support for the OP based on the proposed mechanic.

Confirming empire = 0.0 & WH space
Confirming FW = IT, DRF, NC, Provi
Confirming Player Sov can be created in 0.1+ systems

I am pretty sure everyone was making the assumption that OP meant Empire/lowsec. -----------------------------------

Confirming the OPs post specifically limited itself to non-nullsec systems.

Obviously not, or we wouldn't be having this discussion. It may be inferred, but let's face it, you know people will jump on the way it's written and support the hell out of the wrong idea, because it will benefit them to do so. --Vel

Set limits on how far the player generated sec can vary from CCPs standard, and it might become workable.
0.1 either side of CCPs current value would be a good starting value, so a 0.7 could swing between 0.6 and 0.8. It would make living in 0.5 feel a bit more like living on the edge.

Well I figured talking about Faction Warfare gave it away, but I guess some people are under the impressed FW affects 0.0

go the pve/missions thread section read the how to fix your standing thread do what it says .... profit
Or if you don't want to read the thread...look for the Sisters of eve agents in caldari and amarr space. they give decent splash standings boost to gallente. Not a lot to minny. Get gallente not hostile, switch to them, splash standing with minny.
Your concord idea....low sec or null sec is where you need to go. Besides gate guns in low sec you'll never see them again. YOu broke gallante and minny...now you want to break your sec status. I'd opt for going to recruitment threads here or shc and find a low sec home soon...concord in caldari and amarr space may not like you much soon. Can be a brigadier general from fw...if you get past the gates might mean something lol.
