Two months or so ago, I was a Carebear, mining and mission running from the first moment my character was created.
Now, after joining a new Corp,I now find myself now at a negative 10 sec status, with a 20 mill isk bounty on my head. (Placed there by a couple of people I don't know of and friends I've met during my game time who did so for a laugh. No, I'm not going to get an alt to Pod me so we share the bounty, I now wear it like a badge of honour, to the one who gets my pod, then it will be down to me being not quick enough getting away.
Will the lure of mission running in high sec lure me back, or have I moved to the dark side once and for all with no hope of return?
Do I feel guilty about the amount of ships and pods I have killed? Well, Eve is harsh and each time I lose a battle, a ship or my pod, I will learn and adapt, its the way of Eve and Eve is harsh.
I just wanted to share this with you all and I'm sure there are some of you out there with similar stories to tell or those who despise the kind of character I have become.
In my eyes, I have made the choice and I live by it.

I spent the first year or so of my life in EVE as a carebear. I just mined, mostly. When exploration came out I trained up my covops and probing skills to go after hacking sites and combat plexes.
Not long after that I found myself looking for a corp that needed good covops pilots, and found Noir., which was in need of one.
I still have a mining barge and a hauler in a nice little backwater .5 that I visit sometimes when we're on R&R for some mining zen. But it's almost all PVP for me these days.

OP Its possible to come back from -10 and resume high sec stuffs. (7 weeks of ratting due to lack of null acess) Question is why would you ever want to?
Obvious reasons are the ability to support your subs with in game. (my down fall) Being excluded from a large portion of game content do to criminality and so on.
If you are able to keep your subs up & supply your self in shinies....IMHO you are in the most rewarding eve career avalable to us. Yarr it up dude.
Just show ccp where we touched you on the doll and every thing will be ok. |

In terms of ISK flow, ISK is made from the loot we grab from those whom we destroy and from the Pods we ransom and before anyone asks, I DO HONOUR them all.
I also have a high sec mission runner whom I use to keep the ISK wallet at a healthy balance.
But as it looks, I doubt very much I'll be going back to high sec anytime soon, I've been having far too much fun.
Come along and join me, you too may like it.

Ah I remember fondly my cherry popping after 6 months of carebeardom, next thing I knew I was camping gates and messing up all those months of sec gain.
Welcome to the dark side. Don't gate camp too long, it gives you cancer.

I was a mighty bear as well when I started. Until I got canflipped. I wanted to do the same thing, so I started canflipping myself and within two months I had started my own corp of nubs to wardec high-sec bears.
And that eventualy lead me to become the scary monster I am today ===

Real pirates dont talk on forums about being pirates. You, however, seem to have the need to prove you're a bad boy. What do you want? A timeout or something?

Nothing to prove. Just wanted to share my experiences and how much fun I've been having. I think its viable for me to post. Afterall, I've only been a pirate for about two or three months now.
I'm hoping my post will inspire others to come and join the pirate cause!

Don't forget to tell a few encounter stories as well. A good war story whets the appetite among those who are considering the piracy career path.
