I just logged to sisi to give char creation one more try. last time (a month or so ago) it was really laggy and borderline usable.
Well now...its right over that border :P After almost half an hour of loading car creation screen i have to wait a minute or so for every camera move
One word: Terrible
I just really hope that when car creation hits TQ it wont be this way, coz i wont be able to play eve beyond logon screen anymore |

Runs fantastic on my machine. What are your system specs? Have you tried reducing the graphic quality level in the options, there are new ones exclusively for the character portion of the game, try tweaking those! I think the cloth/hair simulation may be giving your machine a hard time! Luckily, it can be disabled.

AMD athlon 64 3000+ procesor running on 1.8 ghz 4 gb of ram (2gb usable) - whatever that means(i am copyng what it says in the windows about system specs)
graphic card is winfast a7500 gt tdh
Operating system: windows 7
I know i have a bit older configuration, but on TQ game works fine on 2xAA and everything high except LOD...
Ill try tweaking a few options a bit more :P
Edit: disregard this "4 gb of ram" sentence, i put my computer together myself a while ago and i am 90% sure i put 4 sticks of 512mb of ram in there, so this is some weird thing my windows assumed or something :P |

Hmmm, It's possible that the older hardware may be simply too slow for the new engine, although I don't initialy know how resource hungry the new Carbon engine really is. I know that logically, it should need much more graphic power than eve in space.
Or it could also be some weird incompability issue with your graphics card but I highly doubt it. I still think lowering the settings may solve your problem.

The character editor is very demanding to the GPU and your video card is barely sufficient. Therefore the massive delays in character rendering on your client.

ah..
thank you for answering my question
So i guess when incursion hits on TQ its best for me to stop by the friend that is also playing eve and has a better computer :D and make my new character at my friends place
Well actually i have quite a few friends irl that play eve, we could have a get together and character creation evening (with lots of beer involved) That way turning bad and frustrating situation into a nice one |
