Tomorrow you could wake up and feel the need to reprocess your drake.
So many things have changed in eve , its either this is not good enogh, or this is too overpowered. nurfing something will only make something else the top dog, and same to boosting a bad ship; another group would start the crying out loud process.
So lets make sure that before anything gets nerfed, boosted, omited or added. that the average joe would get a say on it. Please CCP, Add a place where we can have a say and vote on what we would like to see happen in our game.
a place you can find out what the majority would really want, with conisderation to race minority (amarr). so caldari dont just woo their own race all the time.
Would be nice to log in the website and see a daily/month or seasonal poll. to see that ccp cares what we want, and not base that on just what people talk about on forum, or what do those leaders we voted for to decide for us.
Its about time.

Forum polling as a way to make gameplay decisions? I think not.
Given that there are forum warriors that post many times per day and claim they don't even play the game any more, and given that one player may have literally dozens of alts all skewing the voting, and given that what player X wants to see is gamebreaking to player Y, and given many various other reasons, this is, for lack of a better word, stupid as an idea.
CCP has made a Features and Ideas subforum - use it.
CCP has instituted the CSM - vote for players that represent your ideals.
Don't expect direct democracy to work in this game. It's not your game. It's not my game. It's CCP's game and if you, or I, do not like the way it works, well, sir, there are literally hundreds of other games you can play.

You are so stupid and single minded it's unbelievable.
How does features and ideas answer my question. It's an idea section; where post new ideas.
And will also mean going through lots of data by reading it all.
I didn't vote for csm; and I can't see how a group of people can have everyones intrest at heart; if all governments are corrupt; what makes you thing they aren't?
Oh and do f off to another game your self; if you don't like what I'm saying, than stick it moron.
I didn't play this for 6 years to quit cause you don't like what I'm saying.

If you were CCP, would you ask hey guys, want the game for free? of course not.
Just be nice to see some polls to help ccp have an idea of what we want, not to make the decision for them.

We vote for the CSM.. Then the CSM publishes their priority list and asks us to vote on which are the most critical..

We already have this with the Assembly Hall, the fact that you opt out of the CSM process doesn't make it less valid, it just means that you're choosing not to participate.

The only people who vote for CSM are null dwellers who were made to by their owners, no lifers who are obsessed over anything Eve, and forum trolls (that would be us). If the average Eve subscripter (carebear, casual, non-kb-humping, life outside of eve) votes, CSM members and their to do list would be very different.

Sorry sir, but your statements here make YOU seem like the "single minded" one here. Try removing your emotions for a second.
The Features and Ideas section is more than a place to "post new ideas"... it's a place where the viability of ideas/new features/modifications to features are questioned and where viable ideas/new features/modified features are fleshed out before being submitted to the Assembly Hall. Generally speaking, the ideas worth any consideration are the ones that stay on the front page for more than a week and exceed 5 pages of [content-filled] posts. So no need to sift through ALL of them.
As for the CSM... true, it's not the most "effective" way of going about voicing the concerns of the masses... but it is "efficient" for the sheer amount of people they supposedly represent. They are voted based on their platforms (i.e. "I will fight for better benefits for low-sec dwellers," etc) and once voted in they act as the focused voice of the people who voted for them (much easier for CCP to discuss things with one person rather than hundreds).
This is the intent of the CSM. However, because it doesn't really have "power" in the sense that they can "actively" change things in EvE they are largely perceived as "toothless" and thus "ineffective."
I would also remind you that direct democracy is a "double-edged" sword. Yes, it WILL clear up many things very quickly (no "bureaucracy" to go through)... however, the majority will usually come to abuse this power.
If the majority of players are "carebears" (as the latest QEN seems to suggest) then they can get a vote going that nerfs piracy and PvP to oblivion simply because they do not like it cutting into their activities (never mind the long term consequences of such a thing happening). Other mechanics that are deeply unpopular ("salvaging rights" for example) will also be hammered at even though CCP has repeatedly stated that it is "working as intended."
