Edited by: Keldar Anassi on 26/12/2010 14:00:02 This is a public notice that EVE Report is looking to take on some more staff. Before I go into the details of the positions and the requirements I just want to point out that EVE Report is still a community blog, anyone can still sign up and post. I am just starting to run out of writing ideas myself, and the community has been slow to post on the site. So I am looking to hire 5 positions to help bring fresh content and ideas to EVE Report.
The positions I am looking to fill are 5 staff writers. The requirements of each position are listed below.
Staff Writer
-Must be willing to write at least ONE article per week, but more is encouraged. -Must use proper spelling, and grammar. (some errors are ok, but recurring problems are not) -Must be able to provide content without personal or organization bias. This does not apply to ôopinionö columns.
For full details on the positions, including payscale and how to apply please visit this page on our website.
Thanks --- Keldar Anassi

I won't fill in your online form, as I'm absolutely not in a position to guarantee an article a week - but if you're interested in the occasional Eve related article from someone who -until recently- wrote for a living, drop me a note in-game.

Tbh, that's pretty mediocre pay for quite a bit of work and knowledge.

The site is a community blog, so you are welcome to sign up and write an article. But community posts are not paid, staff writers are held to higher standards, and frequency, that is why they are paid. --- Keldar Anassi

That depends really, you write more you get more. I am not a billionaire, and the site is funded via ISK donations. So paying huge sums of Isk are not feasible. Also, to be quite honest... writing a 500-1000 word article can take less than 30 minutes if you have done your research and looked into your topic.
So lets say you hit 750 words, base pay for that is 11,250,000 ISK. Sure, may not seem like much, but for 30 minutes of writing not bad. Add on the available bonuses and you could make over 20 mill on that article. This isn't meant to pay for your EVE, its meant to give you some compensation for your work.
Out of curiosity though, how would you change the payscale? --- Keldar Anassi

Quick bump as I've signed on to write for TER.
A short 500 word article which takes just a few minutes to write would net 5mil ISK which isn't bad money when you consider it's really not all that much effort if you're used to writing.
Looking forward to contributing more articles over the coming weeks.
