I tried the new character creator thing on Sisi and it was so slow that it was almost not doing anything. Either fix it so that its not this slow, ditch it or make it so that the person doesn't have to put cloths on then when in the game they can buy cloths for their toon.

Your hardware can't run the content on high settings.. either disable all the bells and whistles and live with crappy graphics at reasonable speed or upgrade your computer. Your call. And poster above me is right. support Public Idea Tracker | 24hr PLEX |

My comp isn't old its not even 1 year old and has been upgraded some and my internet is really good
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo Clock - 2.10GHz Ram - 3GB DDR2 video Card - NVIDIA 256MB DDR2 Cable internet that hits between 1,000 kb/s to almost 2,500 kb/s

You internet is fine. CPU is a bit weak for just one year old but not really the bottleneck. I got a 2 year old Core 2 Duo with 3GHz. 1 year old would imply you got a Core i5 or i7 at least. Your bottleneck isn't even the DDR2 RAM or the 32bit OS you're using.
The graphics card is the one that sucks and why you got such a crappy performance while using the char creator. Please state what kind of motherboard you have (so one can see what kind of PCI-E card it supports and the type of the graphics card chip. Replacing that one with an actual Low-Range type won't work wonders (maybe in your case it does, who knows) but it will make it possible for you to see more than 1 fps. support Public Idea Tracker | 24hr PLEX |

I am running a 64bit OS with ready boost of 4GB. I am running a Asuse motherboard. I haven't and never will over clocl my CPU so its not gonna be an option. I've been debating if I should build a custom AMD rig since upgrading the CPU and such isn't going to be possible and go with the 6 core since its not much more then a Quad core if you think I should go for a more powerful CPU.
I can get up to around 35 fps and low as around 8 fps

As I said your problem is probably not the CPU nor the RAM.. it's the graphics card. A graphics card that is capable of running the character editor without too much hassle will cost around 50$US. Question remains.. what kind of slot does your mother board provide so you could upgrade the graphics card. If you're going to upgrade the PC anyway you probably make a new thread in the appropriate section of the forums and there will be some people for sure who know what is good for a certain budget. support Public Idea Tracker | 24hr PLEX |

It's the graphics card most likely that's holding you back. If it really has only 256MB then it's probably meant for Office use and not for gaming. |

You would benefit a lot from even a half decent video card!

Your internet connection has nothing to do with delays while the client is rendering the new character.
As others have said, the problem is your computer with the video card the biggest problem. 256MB video card are fine for office applications but only barely sufficient for gaming. For something like the new character editor that is really sufficient.

Wow.. that's a bottleneck.. I guess you're screwed for the time being until you get a more modern computer. Normal graphics cards are x8 or x16 and they need those pins to get the data from the cpu/ram to the gpu. with just x1 the bandwidth is just not there.. Sorry pal. support Public Idea Tracker | 24hr PLEX |

You misread what I said. My Video card that I am using right now is the regular PCI slot I have a PCI-E x1 slot but I don't think there are any video cards that can use that small of a PCI-E x1 slot

The character creator isn't up to speed anyway. But to increase performance do the following:
-Keep the shader turned to high. That's what gives you the colors of skin etc. (try looking at a brutor female with that on low, lol!) -Turn shadows off. -Make sure the low res character box is checked. Before you do any actual character creating go all the way to the last screen with this and the shadows are turned on and preselect your lighting option. That's the only way to show the lighting properly. -Turn the hair rendering option off but keep the high texture for character as well as the general texture option for game. -everything else should either be low or off. Will still be some lag but was doing better. This latest version of creator is more laggy than the last.

Thank you very much =) I'm gonna build a custom rig and ditch this one
