I did a casual look though this forum on eve search and noticed that there are a fair number of players from Adelaide, some of which expressed interest in a meet early 2009. That never happened, but I reckon its time we made it happen.
I'm provisionally setting an approximate date for late January, and I'll now be spruking this thread to as many Australian players as I can.
In addition, I have created an open channel called "Adelaide Crew", in which all Adelaide based players especially, but anyone really, are encouraged to lurk!

Crow eaters are living proof that Tasmanians can swim. Enjoy your get together, have a West End for me!

Based on the locations of me and Reichard, the current thinking is either the Coopers Alehouse, which has amazing schnitzels, but will probably require booking, or the mawson lakes hotel, if more people are in the north. The Adelaide meet, be there! |

I'm still keen. I live in Parkside so I'll vote for the Coopers Alehouse too, but I don't mind travelling for the convenience of the majority. I know one or two other people from Adelaide who play Eve so I'll give them a heads up about this thread.

Ok, with no other suggestions for the moment, I'm going to suggest 29th of january, last sat of the month, at the alehouse. The Adelaide meet, be there! |

I'm thinking early evening. If we go to the alehouse, we go for the schnitzel, and I don't know that the restaurant is open at other times? The Adelaide meet, be there! |

Edited by: Bam Stroker on 21/01/2011 05:43:55 Edited by: Bam Stroker on 21/01/2011 05:43:27 Geez, I thought you'd have a decent excuse, like the fact the finals of the GOMtv Starcraft 2 league are on that night.
Normally that would be enough for me to stay home and watch, but beer compels me to head out to the meet up.

Ok people, I'll see you all at 6pm. I'll be wearing a red shirt and white shorts + sandals, and I'll have a kindle with me.
I didn't bother to book a table in the restaurant section, theres only four of us, so we can take pot luck I guess. The Adelaide meet, be there! |

Only three of could make it the end but the schnitzels were top shelf and the beers tasted like they should. I'd be keen to do it again. Nice one Substance for reviving the movement.
Also, check out this trailer for that Limbo game I mentioned: Linkage
