So, I found some sites that offer e-books for free, and not just random nothings, but many of the great classics. But most of those don't interest me at all.
If you know some good ones, that are available for free make your suggestions.

Baen Publishing does have a free library through Webscription.net. I've spent many a long shift reading through the stacks, without paying a single cent. _______________________________

Ulysses
The Odyssey
The Illiad
The Anniad
Dante's Divine Comdey (Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso)
Beowolf
Heart of Darkness
Leviathan
Siddhartha
The Art of War
The Prince
How the Other Half Lives
The Rights of Man
The Wealth of Nations
Utopia
White Fang
The above are those from this list that I can say that I enjoyed reading. There are others on that list that I have read, but they are the more popular public domain books so I assume you are already familiar with those. I doubt those can be used with the Kindle, but it is a decent list to start with if you are looking for public domain literature
One of the others that is not on that list is Juliette. If you are looking for a book containing dark, hedonistic, and all around sadistic literature then the above is good or really anything by the Marquis de Sade would qualify.

Honestly, you can get all the "FREE" books you want off Demonoid ,TPB etc...
Only books I ever managed to buy legit were the Frank E. Herbert works, plus the legacy books, written on his ideas, like Butlerian Jihad plus several other of my fav authors, specially AFTER reading them "for free".
Even after I buy a supplement for a well known RPG, like Call of Chtulhu or DnD , Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay or Dark heresy, I resort to the neatly done PDF's that roam the web due to them being easy to carry and read mostly anywhere when you want to leave your originals safe and out of the hands, wear and tear of daily use.
If you want classics tho, and truly public domain ones, I'd reccomend The Golden Ass mostly for the literary value of reading a novel made over TWO THOUSAND YEARS ago, funny too to boot
The Marquis de Sade works are superb as mentioned before, I also enjoyed (and managed to find a real reprint made in Spain) of the Infamous Malleus Maleficarum.
Try reading anything by Blake from his Illuminated works, if you like to poke in that direction. Anything by Baudelaire or Balzac are true gems to digest and also, if you havent read anything by Dostoievsky ... well you know what I mean. Ah, also try reading Camus too, the Stranger is such a delicacy.
But to be honest, these days I find fictional flavour books for RPG supplements most entertaining, like anything from the Black Library. Havent read many Warhammer novels, but the damn flavor, background story fluffy books are simply marvelous to my entertainment, Like the Liber Chaotica or Liber Necris ... , and yes, you can get those for free, and after reading them I bought them to quietly rest at my bookcase.
Call it pirating guilt, but any of the books I actually like that I get for free I end up buying to support the companies that make them.
Also you need to point out what are your literary tastes.
Cheers! ---

Which are the Books based around the Butlerian Jihad? I wouldn't mind a look at those.

These be they.
Be warned though, you might not be impressed. I've been a big fan of Frank Herbert's Dune books ever since I was old enough to bunk off school to go hide in the public library, but the new books by his son and the other bloke just aren't in the same league. All the intrigue and majesty has gone and they come across like farily run of the mill space opera.
They aren't that bad in themselves and if I'd never come across Frank Herbert I'd probably be slightly less critical of them. However, they aren't anywhere close to being as good as Frank's... not by a long shot. This is hardly surprising; it'd be like expecting Julian Lennon to be as good a songwriter as his dad... another sad dissapointment.
As much as I wanted more Dune, I wanted Frank's Dune; not his son's pale imitation.
I'm not going to make nasty comments about a distinctly average author pillaging his father's rapidly cooling corpse for a few shekels...
...OK. I lied. I am.
Best option is have a look and see what you think... you might disagree, but don't say you weren't warned.

Cheers, I'll give them a chance, I think my opinion will be much the same as yours as I enjoyed the Dune series for the same reasons you did but it's always been a moan I had that Herbert never expanded on the Jihad as it just seemed an ideal story for another series he could've written.

Going with the Marquis de Sade mentions above, I'm going to recommend Justine. I found a well-thumbed copy of it by chance as a teenager while digging through my mom's extensive library, I read it, and was all ... particularly since my mom is the kindest most good-natured being I've ever met, and I couldn't fathom her reading it Not everyone's cup of tea, but it's worth reading at least once some of the Marquis' works.
Is H.P. Lovecraft on the public domain already? Good stuff too. And I was very fond as a teen of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, and The Time Machine by H.G. Wells as well, both very different from the movie adaptations.

Im getting a Kindle around easter, iskies are low after xmas. First books Im downloading are by G.A. Henty. He was a Victorian author who wrote fantasic adventures set throught the most violent times in history. Normally about a young boy going after his lost father, seeking his fortune or just for the adventure. Full of battles etc, a bit dated, well its Victorian after all. Some modernists dont like his obvious racism undertones in some of his characters but he lived in a different time, so dont judge him by todays standards.
If you are into History, not sure if the French Revolution/Napoleonic War novels by Dennis Wheatley are free but they are highly reccomended.
