As it stands one person with one BPO and one open manufacturing slot can flood a major trade hub by a factor of 10 every month on the majority of items.
I mean they can build 10 times faster then they are consumed by an entire region and thousands of players.
What if the Manufacturing time on BP's was 10 times longer?
Manufacturing slots in NPC stations all over EVE would fill up, the price of finished goods would rise over the price of the building material.

There is already a solution to the problem I think you're suffering from.
Make something else. --Vel

I know it's a little tricky building ships for an alliance on your one manufacturing toon.
Well getting the minerals is, you can actually leave the Large Ship Assembly Array offline well over half the time.
Basically I'm suggesting that T1 Ships, Modules and Ammo Blue Prints be brought into line with POS Module Blue Prints.
And then Productivity Research would be more practical.

No, I really dont think you know what your talking about.
Show me an item besides modifier scripts where a single slot and single BPO can produce 10x as much as is needed in a region. Oh what? There isnt one.
Aside from your nonexistant item, increasing production times by 10 would effectively cut down the manufacturing happening to 1/3 or so of current. Yes people will just spread to more systems to find open manufacturing slots, but I really doubt there are enough people currently not manufacturing with that capability to offset the increase in time to bring the market back to the fuild quickly shifting it needs to be at for the eve open economy to run smoothly.
In short, NO!
