I would like to suggest a reworking of a system that has not been looked at in a good while. The Clone grades and costs of these higher quality clones. I for one have not been a big pvp'r in eve, but i am getting more and more interested in it lately and been getting involved in the incursions etc. Anyway, the one thing that is discouraging me to participate more is the fact that my clone grade is about 12mil per renewal. In a couple of months it will be 20mil per clone, and as a casual player that is a LOT of isk to lose along with the ship and mods. I know i need to better my isk income and im sure a good number of older pilots who actively pvp get on fine. I dont mind paying for new clones but the current cost is kind of discouraging to get involved in pvp more.
long story short = Cheaper clones or a new system to make it less harsh for older players

Older chars tend to be richer chars.
I do understand your concerns about it but, as you say, you are just getting into PvP so you're seeing something that is/will be a lot less difficult to manage than how to get a replacement ship to where you want/need it -- AND it's fittings.
If you learn about how to setup your overview with a "pod saver" tab, you won't lose your pod that often (rarely in empire space - more common in nullsec) and if you do find it difficult to afford the clones, you're probably rather tight on cash to be flying ships in PvP - time to bank up a bit.
Again, no insults being tossed out at all. It's not a "huge" expense and you can look at it as a warning sign that you should beef up your ISK account a bit more before you do find yourself without a ship to fly or "good fittings" to put on it.

Erm... You're saying you have something like 90+ million skill points. That means you should be able to do a LOT of different things REALLY well, in addition to having played (or at least been continuously subscribed to the game) for something like 5 years.
Completely seriously- why does it take you more than 10 minutes to make that 20 mil?
*note- this is assuming you trained the character yourself. If you didn't, then you paid something like 12-14 billion ISK for it... in which case the question is why can't you just use whatever you did to make that money to make a rainy day clone fund?*

Wish list for PI:
*One-click input routing *Copy product, inputs & outputs in factories *Launchpad upgrades: twice the space, twice the cost, half the hassle! [ /sig ] |

I would support doubling the costs of all clones
ISK making is extremely easy right now. You can make 70 mil an hour running level 4s in high sec. Everything is so cheap and easy it's starting to lose significance. People barely care anymore when they die.
