So after being away for about 2-3 weeks and having invested nearly 100% of my assets in planetary vehicles, I find I have made about 3 billion or so... I was smart enough to buy 300k units when they were only 14000 per unit.
And now upon returning what do I see? Another product, similarly undervalued, finally moving to the correct prices after being held in check by massive stockpiles... one of which I obtained mere hours ago.
I see... Guidance Systems!
Manipulation is great, but manipulation backed up by facts is better!

Expected final price is at least 30k or so, in line with the other P3 goods. That said, guidance systems had a very large stockpile that isn't anywhere near being depleted yet. Of course, price should still trend up as people cash out to other investors (such as yourself) who are willing to wait and ride it up the rest of the way.
It's a safe investment as far as these things go, but keep in mind that 2 recent major acquisitions recently pushed the price to 17k from 10k. Expect the price to churn at 15k or so for quite a while until the next shark decides the time is right to bump it up again
Again, this is a fairly low-med demand item with major stockpiles. PVs shot up because the NPC drops that were keeping them down were removed, guidance systems should be a slower rise unless CCP increases demand for PI goods and dries up stockpiles faster (likely in coming expansions).

It's still to early for guidance systems to really take off, there is plenty of stock. However there are other goods that have smaller stock piles that are starting to close the gap with their production cost as their stockpiles deplete.

My calulation suggested that it would take around 18month for the stockpile of NPC GS to deplete to the point were making them planet side is feasible. Around 9 months to go.

nice to see guidance systems are finally on their way up, good news for all those who invested in them, still a fair bit to go yet though before price is maxed in the long term. I made a post a few months ago couldnt find it and wondered if it was worth investing in them and am sure glad I did a 4k each.
So get in now.. still time to make a good profit just like I and many otheres will.

Who was the goon holding something like 17m units of guidance systems? The stockpiling on these was extreme to say the least.

Not sure why this thread has been necroed from a month ago.
Nevertheless I will shamelessly highlight the next big thing, which is the MWD change. Yup, the named MWDs have finally had their drop rate decreased, leading to massive profits for those of us lucky enough to believe CCP would come back to it's senses!
Happy Valentines!

So is this like the last time that CCP reduced the drop rate or the time before that? You know the other times that someone posted about fake drop rate changes to manipulate the market...
