I still don't understand WHY exumers are allowed in empire and highsec. Exumers are part of ORE technology and therefore should be outlawed in empire space.
There is an exception, if you wish to fly an ORE ship in empire or any highsec space you should be required to get a license from the faction you wish to mine in. Each system has a fee, just like renting offices and starbase charters. You can still mine without a license but your ship will not be protected by concord and anyone can attack an unlicensed exumer.
In essence concord highsec protection of exhumer ships should only be allowed via mining licenses.
Further all pirate faction ships should also be subject to the same license fees.

May i be so kind as to ask:
Um... Why?
Yes ORE is a null sec empire, but that doesn't mean none of it's ships are allowed in high sec. Sure the rorqual isn't, but that's because it's a cap ship, not because it's ORE.
Also, following your logic, i can no longer use my noctis in high sec, as it is part of ORE technology and therefore outlawed in empire space
Oh wait... Your a troll... Nevermind.

Why?
Because of exactly what you pointed out, HULK's MACK's SKIFF and yes even your precious NOCTIS were designed for 0.0 and not empire, they cause empire to be saturated with corps who can fly and mine in relative safety, sure occasional ganks are a nuisance but overall the profit from highsec can even out pace low and null sec because the threat level is much much lower, you spend more time mining and less time worrying about local.
This would be a way to offset the profit in highsec and balance it out , so that even if you mine highsec only you cannot make more then nullsec in a given month.
Right now that is NOT the case and mining highsec is helping to overproduce items and cause a mineral price sink. When I started playing a year ago Tritanium was 4 isk!!!!
Now it's almost under 2 isk!!! That's a 50% drop in as little as a year! At this rate even a battleship will cost less then 40 million in about a year and a half.

Why would ore technology be outlawed in empire space if the empires themselves use it?

Actually it's things like mining bots in belts and Tengu/Raven bots in drone space that have driven down minerals. Moving the whole operation to nullsec would, at most, raise it back up maybe .4 isk. Rough estimate based off absolutely ****-all, but I'd still bet money on it being only that much, if not less. Null and lowsec bots just log off when someone comes into system, so it doesn't matter where you put them really.
But you had a pretty theory. Too bad it makes absolutely no sense and would just encourage the use of bots even more. -

PFFFT! Now they were designed for Null sec use huh? Maybe it would be fair for Null sec to pay a royalty for using Empire ships as well? Want to use a Raven? pay Caldari, want to use a Vargur? pay Minmatar. Because these ships were obviously designed for carebear mission running.
Also why don't you allow Hi-sec moon ming to offset the Null sec profit.

I didn't realize that logic could be so FAIL. Lawless space has no faction you dimwit! Therefore no fee!
and YES they were designed with nullsec in mind why else would you need that big of a tank and such a large drone bay plus so much cargo space?
Thinking is clearly not your strong point is it?
Highsec moon mining , are you drunk? That doesn't even make any sense!
The idea is to push prices UP not down, dimwit!

Confirming OP is either troll or ******ed enough that he might as well be one.
This thread is now about our favorite t1 frigates. Unless you feel like reading more of this sad excuse for logic of course...

Well you stupid B***h, according to your logic why the hell should Empires allow the illegal sale or use of their technology outside their space?
Big tank, large cargo and large drone bay were made for Null sec then by that logic Empire should only allow noob ships because why the hell would one need Battleships in Empire space where there are laws?
Also why not Hi-sec mining? The idea is to push prices of moon goo down and what stupid logic would you have for not allowing it other then game rules?
Edit - Oh yeah another forum name calling b***h fight!

Obviously you are not familiar with mining and the different ores. You can literary make hundreds of millions of isk in a good week in 0.0 from the ores there. You can make several hundred million isk a week mining in Low-Sec.
I am a high-sec miner and I have 3 accounts I use to mine. 2 mine with max mining skills and the other is the hauler with the max fleet booster flying my orca. The best I can do mining literary all day (16+ real hours) is about a 3-5 hundred million isk a month.
It is easy to calculate time and say you can mine this much in this amount of time. But no one ever thinks about the time to get the barge into position, mine until no more ore in range, move super slow hulk to new position in same belt to finish mining and waiting on the uber slow orca to catch up, also about the cycle time wasted when there is only 300 units left in the roid and you spend almost 3 minutes of laser time waiting on cycle.
Not to mention when you scan the roids it is hard to tell which one your currently on when they are all pretty small and there is about 50 of them in just one type. |

Based on your logic, you only want CCP to force people back to mining in battleships in hi sec. Since the tech 1 barges are also ORE designed and the only place that you can by the BPO form NPC is 0.0.
Do you really want to waste battleships so people can mine in hi sec? Banning tech2 mining barges or making them non cost effective will not force the miners into low sec or 0.0, they will either switch to mining in battleships, switch to mission running or quite.
Since ORE is not at war with any empire faction there is little game logic for a licence fee, it would make more sense for Caldari to tax not Caldari ships and modules since they are at war with Galente.
The idea of mining licences has been suggested several times before and still does not make sense given the isk per hour rate. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congratulated by carebears for the actions. |
