As the topic says, basically, is it worth attending each of the 3 days?

Does anyone have a handy link to a player who's sort of told what they liked in the past and how they'd do it again?
Kind of thing im curious about: Are the hotels in the packages most convenient? Will I have time to see the sites and still get a lot from the conference? Should I rent a car for the whole time or just part of it?
If I did the Sisters of Eve thing would I miss all of the big presentations or just some of them ? (i'd like to get a flavor of iceland in equal measure to hanging with eve folks. (do you mind if i dance with your dates?)

When I went in 2009 I used the icelandair packages, and it was extremely convenient. I'd suggest staying in Reykjavik a few extra days to see Iceland, and unless you want to go into the country, a rental car isn't really necessary. Almost everything is in walking distance, and there are tours and shuttles that will take you to the sightseeing spots.
Can't help you with the Sisters of Eve thing, but iirc correctly I'm pretty sure you'd miss quite a bit.
Also don't need to worry about dancing with other peoples dates, if they do the same thing they did last year for the final party, It should be open to the public and there will be plenty of Icelandic girls to talk to/dance with, if they get a decent headliner again that will bring the locals out anyway.

It would be kind of strange to go all the way to Iceland for Fanfest and then not show up for all the days. There's a bunch of stuff going on every day with round tables and presentations and announcements (and drinking) so yes, there is plenty to do each day.
Reykjavik is kind of small, the whole population is around 200k, so you really won't need a car unless you're heading out to see the rest of the island, the venue is within 10-15 minutes walking distance of a lot of the hotels and the Hilton is just across the street.

On the first day (Thursday), there were usually lots of roundtables (Which are limited in the number of people that can attend. You have to sign up for them in time.) Depending if you wanna get involved in those debates, it might be the most important or the least important day of fanfest. Also, as far as I remember, first rounds of PvP tournaments start on that day, but I'm not 100% sure. Friday and Saturday are when most people are around and when the biggest news are announced. And of course there's the party on saturday evening.
Will try to find the schedules from 2008 and 2009 Fanfest. They should still be lying around somewhere... Oh, how much I would like a search option for things real life

I have posted some information about my previous trips in the Fanfest FAQ Thread.

Confirming that Hilton Nordica, Park Inn Hotel and Cabin Hotel are really close to Fanfest venue (Hilton Nordica being the closest). I stayed at Park Inn in 2008 and 2009 and have booked it for 2011 again.
Just some random thoughts about the hotels:
Hilton Nordica: -More expensive, but pretty affordable, when you book early and get the 50% discount on room rates -Closest to Fanfest venue
Park Inn Hotel: -Medium priced -I stayed there in 2008 and 2009 and was happy with my choice -It seems most of the CSM also stayed at Park Inn Hotel. -They have paid WiFi internet BUT last year I found out that they had some special code for Fanfest-attendees for free internet. I had to ask for it tough and heard about it from some guy who heard from some guy... -Nice breakfast buffet with everything you can ask for: coffee, tea, milk, fruit juices, toastbread, some sweet bakery, bacon, scrambled eggs, slices of cheese and meat, vegetables and fruits, yogurt, cereals, ... And it was open till 10am. (not sure if it will be the same in March, since last two years Fanfest was in October) -Also pretty close to fanfest venue (just a bit further than Hilton Nordica) -Tons of parking spaces to the opposite side of the road -There's a 24/7-shop really close where you can also get some microwaved pasta for example
Cabin Hotel: -Cheapest choice in Fanfest packages -From what I heard, the rooms are pretty small -As far as I remember, there's a Subway or some other kind of fastfood just opposide the street

Fanfest is open during most of the daytime (10am to 6pm or smth like that) and there's tons of things to see there (except for the "big announcments" presentations, there are always multiple presentations in parallel, along with roundtables, PvP tournament, agent missions, the EVE store, beer, ...) So I would definately recommend staying some more days before or after Fanfest, if you wanna visit some places in Iceland. Renting a car for sightseeing for the days before/after Fanfest is definately a good idea. During Fanfest it's pretty pointless because: -Fanfest is withing walking distance to most Hotels -Reykjavik city center with all the bars and restaurants to go in the evening is also within walkable distance (3-4km from Fanfest venue) -Icelandic law is pretty strict on drinking & driving (0.5 promille limit and hefty punishments for offense) -You won't really have any time to use the car when attending Fanfest I posted my experiences with rental cars in the Fanfest FAQ Thread.

I loled
Concerning Cabin Hotel, it's pretty close and you have a subway and a gas station (to get food also) just across the street.

I found and scanned the old schedules from 2008 and 2009. Maybe this will give you a better idea what's going on during Fanfest

RE hiring a car.
I hired one at the last FF and it was good for going off to see some sites but you don't need it to get round the city or to get to the venue. It's quite small and you can walk to most places quite quickly.
I ended up having to drive back to the airport after the party on the Saturday which meant no beer for me
