How important do you think it is to train rigging skills to V to lessen the feedback or negative effects from using the rig?
ie, if I fit all 3 of the same type of rig vs 3 differnt kinds of rigs.

depends upon what you do with it ;) Read about the negative, if it affects you enough to bother you train up, otherwise leave it be. For example energy weapon rigs increas PGneed of the weapons. If the planned fit works, training the rigging skill isnt worth it at all.
Its a little bit different for something like armor rigging. Beeing slower sucks, but for this cases it against depends upon you how often you really need the difference between riging 4 and riging 5. Most people dont bother training to 5 for a LONG while, because there is always other stuff to train...

Edited by: Misanthra on 07/01/2011 02:03:06 EFT the rig skill level you have in mind with rigs to see what the rig does a best course of action. Will be a personal choice most of the time.
Missile rigs for example for me I just left at 3. Fits all my missile ships no cpu issues...stopped at 3 and moved on. Same with shield rigs. On my drakes, slimming down a drake sig radius with say 3 extend rigs is like ordering a diet coke to go with your 3 quarter pounders and 2 large fries for lunch lol. My rokh is a big and slow bs target, when its time to be alpha'd by a blob...shield rig 10 (if it was possible) wouldn't mean much let alone 5. Trained to 3 mainly for my minny x-train and shield rigged ships like jagaur atm. Might 4 it for ocd purposes, 5's sig radius reduction jsut not worth it (but that's for me and how I viewed the eft numbers).

Broadly speaking, I train immediately to IV those rigging skills which reduce drawbacks constantly in effect: shield rigging because smaller sig radius is good, armor rigging because being slower sucks, etc.
Those which only affect fitting capabilities, I train to the minimum which allows me to fit the ship I want to fly. Launcher rigging, for instance.

k,thnx. I was looking at gunnery rigs and they all seem to effect the powergrid. I forgot about evefit, I can load it up and see how it effects me.

Every tried to rig a Tengu with missile rigs? Do so, and you'll find out you can't really afford to part with that extra CPU. :) --
