Edit: tbh I think the New Edenians found a way to speed up light, or time is moving slower hance ships faster, or, wait, I'm lost...
New Eden didn't just magically appear out of nothing 7 years ago. The Eve gate was opened and on the other side are all these stars, already there. Almost every heavenly body in the game's been there for millions or billions of years.

Originally by: Kaahles 9-266Q in Venal is pretty large. If i remember correctly one of the gate to gate warps (think it was H-PA/BV-1 oder BV-1/N6G) should be somewhat around the 290 AU mark. Did that once in a freighter. Never again
One of the first really big fights I was in took place in that system. It was quite epic seeing ~300 battleships fleetwarping in formation for a really long time with total silence, knowing that there were just as many enemies waiting for us when we landed.

CCP should really consider div10 on some of these systems, 28AU is reasonable warp - 280AU is insane.

I disagree. While there are ships in EvE that scream in pain when they have to warp over 60 AU, there are also ships in EvE that can easily warp over 400 AU without breaking a sweat.
I suggest that CCP actually add more humongous systems. |

Quite true. Ever since WTZ and jumpbridges the whole game feels cramped. Right now warp speed has very little meaning anyway, since for "regular distance" warps in most ships you spend most time accelerating and decelerating at very low speeds rather than flying at top speed anyway. That, or heavily alter the "acceleration profile" when warping to have FTL//warp speeds ramp up and down in a similar fashion to sublight speed ramp up/down. _

Would make tech II probe rigs combined with a warp rig far more worthwhile on cov ops and might even add warp rig viability for other setups, notably evasive ones. ~
