My mistake really, using my real e-mail.
I have had this e-mail address for a year and never get any spam, it is pretty much my EVE e-mail, anyway about 20 mins ago I posted a comment on evenews24 giving my real e-mail address in the ærequired and will be hiddenÆ and already have a phishing mail and a really ****ty free time one too.
So im thinking they have a database breach, but I must say it was a little too fast so either someone doesnt like me (hardly a surprise) or this is a common thing.
Eitherway just giving a heads up, dont use your real e-mail on evenews24, my bad I guess

This is why gmail's awesome. I can put my email address in those as [email protected], and when it hits my account it's instantly filtered to the "filter" label, and skips my inbox. Works like a charm. _____ ^ That is a sig line. It should be there without me having to put one in. |

Well thats 2 phishing e-mails now, they are soo bad as well lol you would think they would start with "Dear Kalle Demos (or the account name)" but instead it is 'Hello' lol
Anyway both e-mails say the account has been hacked or something and I need to click on a link (which is a tinyurl) to fix it.
Obvious phishing but I guess some people fall for it

Why would you possibly give your real email address there?

Owning your own domain name is even better. Every site I visit has it's own email address, if I ever get spam off one of them, the site gets blacklisted and the email address deleted.
This means I hardly get any spam and have never had phishing mails.

Do you actually create new addresses or do you do it like me and abuse the catch-all to save effort?

^^This.
And this is how I determined that evenews are very, VERY bad people. Avoid at all costs.

Make a gmail account. Use that for all your community sites.
Make another gmail account. Use that for all your games. For each game change the password by one or two digets (ie, monkey1k11, monkey2k12, monkey3k13, monkey4k14).
Problem solved, and as an added bonus, you remove one of the largest potential security risks. Most game accounts are retrieved by hacking community sites. ---

throwaway webmail addresses are awesome for sites that insist on registration.
Just register [email protected] (or whatever) And only use it for trash sites like evenews.
And obviously never ever use the password for anything else.
