Some of the older players might remember the days when we had 500+ in a system and you couldnt even see anything moving. Warp, screen freeze, dead. Or just frozen screen... Your client didnt react, your modules didnt anything and once you re-logged you ended up stuck with a message that you are logging in.
Then came stackless IO, which was awesome and did a massive boost to epic battles.
But really, CCP, TiDi is the most awesome and smartes thing you ever did to nullspace. It's the +10 on the scale where POS warfare is -10

Well in many circumstances, I'd be the one sitting very far away in a cloaked boat watching two unaffiliated sides brawl it out
So I get to watch other people in very expensive ships explode in slow motion! Unless someone runs into me.. |

TiDi made yesterday's epic evening a possibility, 2 years ago I would not even log in for such slugfest, because I would have known about the black screen of nothing, but now we got 15 supercaps down, gg TiDi. |

if you can, please fix undock, bridge and jump gates problem that activate TIDI and there is only 200 in system/fleet.
Also, if possible fix the one year BUG that happens each time there is tidi and we jump/bridge or jump capitals to a cyno, half the fleet becomes neut in overview and those members standings don't load with them. Them most of the time this neut friends get shot down by mistake...

My only experience with TiDi was the Jita event.
Very enjoyable. I can understand why it is an up from black screen disconnect. Though when it gets heavy, life slows way down. |

The lag on undock, bridge and gate jump was talked about during alliance tournament they are working on brain in a box. Not sure when it will be implemented but that should fix these types of problems. |

I was just thinking about this and bare in mind, I have limited experience with very large fights and how it use to be before TIDI. But, after watching that super carrier slaughter yesterday, how can you guys be happy with TIDI? Like waiting 50 minutes between doomsdays.
Sure it's better than instant black screen and waking up in a station but seems if everyone is letting CCP get away with this. TIDI is a cop out imo. Hope I never have to get in that sludge of mess Selective Pressure [FOVRA] is now recruiting! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1797934#post1797934 |

to me TiDi is a band-aid to an issue that shouldn't be occurring in the first place. Especially when you promote these battles as a feature of the game. One can only hope that they are looking for a further solution to this and won't leave it as is. |

Please point to any other game that can have 1600 people fighting in the same area that wouldn't lag. Yes it is not optimal but until hardware can catch up with the game it is a great process. |

One can only hope that they are looking for a further solution to this and won't leave it as is. In the old days, they would just upgrade the hardware. Turns out, no matter how big the jump, players will quickly max it out anyway. So instead of 500 people in a laggy fleet fight, you had 1000, and then 2000, etc. TiDi isn't meant to fix the issue; it's designed to make it fair for all involved.
oldbutfeelingyoung wrote:another kissup and instant dev reaction No surprise, people respond more to positive than negative. And that's not a fair statement for you in particular to make, considering what we both watched CCP Bayesian wade through. Occasionally plays sober |
