I realize that this may be more research than any of the investors in any BSAC product may be used to putting into their investments.
I will pay 100 isk (ONE HUNDRED ISK) to all correct (wild) guesses at the time the final payout is made. One per alt please. You need only name the Board Member in question.
This offer is finished once someone posts the correct response to the Grand Prize.

I believe that fellow was "Yih". And you may notice that Yih is not currently on the board of BSAC.
You may guess again.

Edited by: corestwo on 12/01/2011 13:26:38 It's Poison. Member of Battlestars from 2008-07 to 2008-11 (and a previous stint from 2006-02 to 2006-07 but that's before they were in Goonswarm). He was in Battlestars on Poison.
Too lazy to try to find a post though. Good thing I'm not investing!

No, because I was too lazy to look over his post history. Someone else can still claim the prize!
And to be technically correct (which is of course the best kind of correct), I don't actually know if he was in Battlestars while he was also on the board or whatever. Too lazy to confirm that too. ;)

Seriously, though, this is interesting trivia but is it really relevant? Not all members of Goonswarm were Goons; some were mere 'pubbies'.

He was. He was quite active as a representative of BSAC immediately prior to, and immediately after his stint in the swarm and his position in BSAC didn't change during that time.
What happened is that he all but stopped posting publicly.
I'm going to give it to Raw for this answer:

Not exactly true..
EBANK's only real link to Bad Bobby in terms of history was Ricdic. Bad Bobby took over for Ricdic's High-sec research lab alliance. The only link from EBANK to BASC is me.
Before EBANK Ricdic had no idea who I was or even knew I existed short of posts on MD.
It's not unusual to see links to large corporations in game and in real life.

Originally by: Hexxx PP was in EBANK too. Don't forget that.
PP and I were in the same alliance which was part of the BOB Coalition. Block/BSAC were part of an alliance which was part of BOB Coalition as well.
BOB is linked to EBANK and BSAC just as much as Goon is linked.
Here is a stretch ;)
Because of my link to PP via AXE, previous to that, my corporate was hijacked by someone now in in Razor. The Corporate at that time was passively supporting Goon's efforts against BOB, which was also apart of the RED/Goon coalition to take the south east.
Prior to that my corporation was part of a "Pirate" type alliance camping Sansha space, which was also in bed IAC, which we all know was also helped by ISS. And we all know ISS had people in other large public fund like FIN :)
While the links are pretty lose all round, I can say I have no more then six degrees of separation between every single major or note worthy alliances or public funds venture since the dawn of EVE.
Even BIG :) Tornsoul was the director I replaced at EBANK due to inactivity, at the time I was just a jr. Director.

Yes, and Hexxx couldnt complete the task because of time, and Poison did his job well. If not mistaking, and being the person that ran LYII I think I would recall right, LYII was very succesful and paid out everything + some that was due to share holders.
Yes I was a Titans4U trustee, one of the only ones that mentioned in the forums when BB asked to create more shares and said it would dilute and make it to easy to do exactly what he did. But I was ignored :)

I didn't understand Liberty's post as "all of these are scammers" but rather as "same old boys network still running the show".
And as more and more of the "MD elite" quit the game (or at least the MD-related part of it), connections naturally get closer as fewer big names are left.
The only exception to this rule that comes to mind would be Varo Jan's One Stop buyout (which was only possible because RAW took an extremely large share of the risk).
And please don't blame me for invoking the "elite" debate again - just look at the derision with which Block treats RAW who is arguably one of the more important characters in present-day MD and try to find a better description than "elitism" (or "has something to hide" but that's something none of us would ever want to imply, right?).

Yes, quite. And I am also interested what else these people have got going on.
It is also clear that there are major figures in MD who have tens of billions of public isk who have never been questioned - not once, not ever.
This is a ridiculous state of affairs - the pandering and hand-holding has to stop. Each and every person must be prepared to go through a rigorous standard of questioning and analysis.
It is no use for them to turn around and say "scamming?!? What - here, in EVE online? Why how dare you question me or mention the very thought of it".
The huffiness is no good. Everyone here knows that the game is broken. Everyone knows that there have been massive multi-trillion isk scams. The era of unquestioned rep and sauntering, huffy princesses is over. I'm going to question each and every one of you, I couldn't care less how many enemies among the "elite" I make - it seems that most of them are tired of the game and have little or no connection to the rest of the player base anyway.

This has been proclaimed quite often but little changes. Some people are naive, others are ignorant, and others turn a blind eye due to an overly-positive view of things. Good luck changing public investment though. Many have tried, and left it be. Maybe someday things will be more, but it's a lot of work, and I doubt anyone with both the time and resources has the resolve to do it right. ______________________________

What you don't seem to understand is that questioning an investment does not stop someone from investing.

I abhor the hypocrisy Block has shown in the last few weeks in how he arrogantly claims other aren't transparent enough and needs his help to be so, all the whole vacuuming up 700b in investments with absolutely no transparency. That's my motivation. Actually this all started because of some comments he made to Raw23 critical of his decision to not list in his exchange.
