Hey all!
If you have someone with shield warfare links as your wing commander, and someone with armor warfare links as your squad commander, do you get both people's bonuses?
Thanks! |

Provided your fleet is set up correctly and the wing commander has wing commander... yes.

Could you please explain what means "correctly" ? I always thought you got only bonus from one pilot. How should I setup my fleet so bonuses come from more than one pilot?

Kinda sorta related question; do bonuses carry upwards? I.e, if my WC has combat bonuses and the SC is a mining booster I know the squad will get all the bonuses, the SC will get his own bonuses and the WC's, but does the WC only get his own bonuses?
TIA

Bonuses go up and then back down. So, a squad bonus goes from the booster to the SC, then back down to however many people he can support. Wing bonuses go up to the WC and back down to how many squads he can support. The chain can be broken by lack of skills, or not being in space in the same system.
You always get the highest of any particular available bonus, they do not stack. So if there are 2 boosters giving bonuses with the warfare links, whichever specific link with skills is best will get the bonus passed.

Yup, assuming an unbroken chain up from the booster and back down to the fleet members. The best of any particular warfare link will apply if there are multiples of the same in the chain.

does the booster have to be in the wing leader position to give bonuses?

Nope, as long as the chain isn't broken. Wing booster can be applied to a member of a squad, and as long as the chain isn't broken from booster -> SC -> WC -> SCs -> Squad members, the whole wing will get the boost.
