The ability to research is probably quite important, wouldn't you say?

To be a good auditor, you need: 1) To know what all of the great 3rd party apps which allow you to quickly and easily analyze API information are 2) To know virtually every aspect of trading and industry, so you can know if the potential scammer at least knows how to carry out the business plan 3) To be able to research posting history, do investigations on alts, try to find connections and contacts which might highlight malicious intentions. 4) To know virtually every game mechanic in EVE Online, so that you may give a sound assessment of the risks behind a business plan.
Essentially, if you have to ask, then you won't be able to do it. If you really want to become an auditor, then start doing some industry and trading so that you can learn the market and learn from the community. ----------

Since the important, nearly mandatory derisive stuff was covered by the above posters, I'm going to only say "Eve-HQ" and "jeveassets" as a general not-harsh hint. Sidejoke -- To be a good auditor, those audited by you (and those who use those audits) must not know what your name means in the Farscape universe _

I'd even go a step further: you need to have the skill(s) to potentially be a good scammer, in order to be a good auditor. -- EVEWalletAware - an offline wallet manager |

That sounds like when I was a manager IRL. I had to know what to look out for concerning theft to make sure no one was doing it.
