I have recently gotten a mission that I believe is impossiable to finish WITHIN the bonus time limits. The mission is War situation part 1. The starting station is the station in Osoggur and the destination station is Nedegulf V. Since this mission requires you to travel both ways and the stations are 8 jumps apart, the total travel time is 16 jumps.
Having done the mission before and BARELY making the trip in time (total of about 12 jumps that time), I decided to test the trip in my Buzzard and in a shuttle. Below is the result: Buzzard Shuttle --------- ----------- left Osoggur station 16:30 16:50 arrived Nedegulf station 16:38 16:58 back in Osoggur station 16:47 17:06
Total time 17 min 16 min
Needed time 14 min So is it impossiable to get bonus? It appears from the maps that the shortest route is the one I took. Can anyone see a way to finish within the bonus time or is this mission fatally flawed?

Nano Cov Ops with it's faster Warp speed would have a better chance.
Then again it all depends on how far apart gates are from the particular Mission site and the destination.

interceptor with improved warp speed.
Wait wait what? you know you dont have to go back to the origin station to finish the mission. you can communicate with the agent from teh destination to finish the mission.

Afaik, the bonus time adjust itself over time to match how quickly it is usually run, so if it's 14 minutes, it's because that's how fast it's usually done.
Also, you're using a rather slow ship, and if I understand that mission correctly, you can do it in something far quicker. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

The mission requires you to pick up the documents at the Nedegolf and take them to Osoggur. So you MUST go both ways.

Hmmm, my buzzard goes 13.5 au and the shuttle turns and warps out faster than any ship I know...

But, any mission that REQUIRES a clone jump to complete... Need I say more?

No it won't you still need that stuff you picked at destination to be with you.

its probably to do with where you're missioning from.
With the changes to courier missions (devblog somewhere but cba), you may find that you're being sent to the next constellation or something, which results in your 8 jumps.
However, if the bulk of people are running this mission right on the boundary of 2 constellations, their "next constellation along"(or whatever) is a shorter route, which brings the average time for that mission down.

have someone at pickup location, accept mission, have someone bring you stuff. tho, is there maybe a shorter route through low-sec? ________________________________ : Forum Bore 'Em : Foamy The Squirrel - [jedi handwave] "There is no spoon." |

One question: Is your autopilot set to avoid lowsec?
I ran into a similar courier mission. Sticking to high sec 12 jumps Enter into low sec was 4 jumps. One of which was low sec.
Quite doable in anything with a cov-ops cloak. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

The USUAL trip for that mission is probably 2 to 3 jumps tops, so it's not unlikely to have an extremely low average completion time. So, yeah, it's possible in some cases to get an unlucky route mission for which completing it within the bonus time is next to impossible.
At least, that's my take on it. _

if it takes you 8 full minutes to make 8 jumps, you're doing something wrong, especially if you're using a shuttle.

..well, bots on AP aren't much better, are they?
But yeah. A freighter being sling-shot takes 1m30s on average per system (major hubs roundtrip) support Public Idea Tracker | 24hr PLEX |

another thought, is package unique to mission or can it be bought from market? that would cut on travel. ________________________________ : Forum Bore 'Em : Foamy The Squirrel - [jedi handwave] "There is no spoon." |

Well there is the secret on how the time got so low on average.
If everyone is doing this way then someone who actually wants to do it the normal way is in trouble
