I mentioned this in another thread, then realized that the thread might have been discussing a different problem.
I'm having a problem patching my EVE Online client for use with Singularity.
What I did was: 1) In Finder, selected my working Tranquility client "EVE Online TQ1.app" and hit Command-D (for Duplicate). This created "EVE Online TQ1 copy.app". 2) I renamed the copy "EVE Online Singularity.app". 3) I downloaded the file evepremiumpatch214371-221279-mac.tgz 4) I extracted the downloaded file to get evepremiumpatch214371-221279-mac.app 5) I ran evepremiumpatch214371-221279-mac.app and selected "EVE Online Singularity.app" as the target. 6) The patch program started running, but when it got to "Verifying ...ogram Files/CCP/EVE/script/compiled.code", a pop-up window appeared saying "SOME of the files have been modified! Please re-install". Running "EVE Online Singularity.app" showed that it was still on the 214371 build.
Upon examination of the logs provided by the patch program, the vast overwhelming majority of lines ended in "-> OK". Only the following two lines were different:
Examining File : /Contents/Frameworks/Awesomium.framework/Awesomium -> SHA1 Error Examining File : /Contents/Frameworks/Awesomium.framework/Versions/1.0/Awesomium -> SHA1 Error
I also tried redownloading a fresh Tranquility client, duplicating that, and patching the fresh duplicate to Singularity, but ran into the same problem. As I type this, I'm now redownloading the Singularity patch, just in case there was an error in transmission. __________________________________________________ Survivor of Teskanen, fan of John Rourke. |

I have the same problem with the same files. I can't imagine that there would be transmission errors in the exact same two files. Have you resolved this?

Not yet. The last attempt to redownload the Singularity patch file could not be extracted, for some reason. I'll try downloading again when I sleep, tonight. __________________________________________________ Survivor of Teskanen, fan of John Rourke. |

Edited by: chaosjj on 17/01/2011 08:20:19 There are no patches for mac ATM, the only way to get on sisi on a mac, is to download a full sisi client, and configure it to connect to the test server. (this is, because the current builds are TQ release candidates.)

Okay, downloading the full Singularity client worked, thank you. __________________________________________________ Survivor of Teskanen, fan of John Rourke. |

We encoutered a weird problem for patches from the current TQ version to the release candidate today. We rolled out a fix, so eveything should be ok. I don't know if the fixed patches made it to Sisi though, so you might still run into a broken patch on here :)
