Patch notes:
*Antialiasing is now disabled for Leopard users to avoid client startup problems. *Switching between windowed and full screen can now be done via the ESC menu. *Users can now choose to disable Multithreaded OpenGL via ESC menu settings, this option affects CPU load and graphics performance. *Running EVE in the background should no longer severely slow down other applications. Known issues:
*Fullscreen to windowed change in the escape menu only works if you also update the resolution - http://defects/issue.asp?ISID=55989 *NCC can be sluggish, recommend users play with their graphics settings. Note that lower settings may affect availability of features in the client, portrait rendered by CCP will still have those features applied which means there can be quite a difference between what you see in client and what you get from the image rendering. *In game browser raises exception when closed - http://defects/issue.asp?ISID=56111
Important note regarding patching
There were some problems with the most recent TQ patch, please note that until TQ is open to players there is no guarantee that the patch is going to work. The verification process goes something like this: 1.Patch created 2.Patch locally verified 3.Patch uploaded to autopatch path 4.Patch downloaded and verified (at this time it can also be downloaded by players) 5.TQ opened to players (this doesnĘt happen until QA has verified that the three latest patches work)
We will keep you all updated as to when the patch is live.

What is the point of this thread? It contains no useful information about the patch, i.e. that it's broken and was never tested. Who cares about in-game stuff when Mac users can't even get that far? -- Frog blast the vent core! |

Dude... first of all, there's nothing to be reported. It says the patch data is corrupt once you downloaded the file. CCP knows that, there's no point of telling it them once more. You also know that if you are a mac user and affected by the problem. If you aren't a mac user and don't know it, there's no reason for you to write nonsense here. Stop flaming and telling guys to do "usful" stuff if you have nothing to contribute to the topic.
On-topic: It happens so often that Mac patches are bugged or left behind, it sucks and EVE is not the first game that ****ed me off with bugged Mac stuff. If someone is developing Mac applications they have to pay just as much attention on them like to the windows version even if its used less. And whats also typical for bugged Mac patches is that there's NEVER a statement somewhere on the homepage. If you're lucky some developers tell you in the forum that they are working on it, bleh.
I'm paying 50 Cent for EVE a day. Today I can't play EVE. I want my 50 Cents back. If I buy a car I expect it to work 365 days a year and so do I when I pay for a game.
Honestly, I usually don't rant but it's so incredible annoying... i would have even accepted the mistake CCP made somewhere when they informed the mac users on the main page and gave a decent statement like "We found the mistake, it will be solved tomorrow" or even "We have no idea what's going on, you may have to wait a week." but just ignoring the issue is the worst possibility.

I'd be really interested in knowing what graphics cards are causing the teeth and tongue issue, also include whether this happens only on specific graphics settings. For an example try setting shader quality to low or turn on low quality character rendering. ------------------ Tester, Scrum Master Quality Assurance

Tried settings on low, medium and high (both for character creator as general setting for eve online=> shader, textures and lod) => textures on high turns the model black, but that was also the case before the patch(have my settings on medium when playing)

You should do the same with the full client. I'm not home and will not be till tomorrow. So I downloaded the full client.
The full mac client that I downloaded is the file linked to by http://www.eveonline.com/download/ and is http://content.eveonline.com/mac/eve-premium_005277_221279-mac.dmg
It does start, but it gives an error about not having information about a patch and, most importantly, it tries to connect to Singularity not to Tranquillity (and it even uses a preferences folder named after the Sisi server).
Interestingly the singularity full client download page http://www.eveonline.com/download/?s=singularity links to the very same file.
I cannot test the patches as I have no old client here. It seems from the forums that the mac patches are also broken. Mac users are getting the short stick this time around (again).
Bug reported as bug 105679 Petitioned with tracking ID 2287104 Ragequitted with code ... oh wait.
- Firstly, planet VI in FD-MLJ will be nuked from orbit (after all, it is the only way to be sure) and all existing infrastructure will be gone. -- CCP Nimbus |

The actual sculpting doesn't seem to work... the help button says left-click on avatar for direct sculpting. However if I left-click I turn the camera. May be a silly question but, how do I sculp my character? :)

Yes, it is. I downloaded the client more than 2 hours ago, and I've been playing ever since. Only problem I have is my character creator is buggy. But I can play just fine.
