I think you should not be able to jump a gate, after 30s have passed. (The Timer starts if you decloak. CCP love this 30s timer ! You have it already if you undock station, change ship, enter/left a fleet, if you change walled division.....Please end this games running back the gate. I think thats frills and furbelows.

What does cloaking have to do with the session change timer? --Vel

I think he means when you jump into a system, your cloaked and he wants to stop the ability to wait out that cloak and then re approach the gate and jump out.

One of the main problems are the delay/desync time. You can have a scan resolution of 10mio mm, but you are not able to catch him.

Unless they are reapproaching at 5km/s (intys and drams) anything with a sensor booster should lock it before it gets to the gate

We need less gate/station camping ***gotry not more, making it so easy that a chimp can do it is counter productive.
Remote Sebo a Hugginn + Scram Interceptor and you'll catch everything including lol-speed Vagabonds and Cynabals.
If on the other hand you are a pirate and just want a near AFK game experience camping some high-sec gate then suck it up and live with it.

So what your asking for is gate camps that are impossible to dodge

If he has not the jump delay of 30s and he is almost able to crash, he can't pass the camp as well. If he has the jump delay of 30s he can't crash, but he is not able to pass the camp to. So this change would not mean to overpower camps. The chance to pass the camp is the same!!!

So the two that couldnt evade anyway cant but the ones in ships that meant they can evade no longer can, thus meaning the campers get an easier job to catch more stuff. It would mean the only things that can have a chance of evading are things that warp cloaked and/or have an interdiction nullifier

Two types of cloak in game, gate-cloak and normal cloak.
For a gate-cloak, adding a jump timer after decloaking means that you cannot ever run back to gate, which is only option if bubbled or there are fast lockers = impossible to pass.
For normal cloaks, adding a timer after decloaking means that coverts and recons can never again get out of a bubble camped system. Bubble on gate + timer means certain death or log in place (less of an issue where bubbles do not exist) = impossible to pass.
So yea, Korg is pretty much right on the money.

A freind of me have a other idea. If a ship is locked up, it is not able to jump/dock. So this would end silly docking games too!

It would end docking games but promote griefing if there was no way to escape an attacker who had you locked. Better would be to extend the timer for docking and gates for ships that have committed hostilities.

I think that have nothing in common with griefing. There is no logical pathway to this in my opinion. Remember in free space there is no gate, if you are scrambed you cant warp, there is no gate. I think If you say it is griefing becaus he cant crash the gate, because he is logged up, you also have to say that the kill in free space is a grief, because he is warp scrambled. If he is logged, he cant jump the gate but he can warp if he is not warp scrambled.

Really? you cant see how being locked stopping people from jumping couldnt be used to grief. I'll paint a couple of scenario about why thats bad.
A. People could just go and lock freighters around jita gates, stopping them from jumping for the fun of it B. Probing down mission runners and locking them at Acceleration Gates stopping them from completing their missions

Better to not be able to jump / dock wile scrambled. CCP will never do it but would be nice --------------------------------------------- Hate Bots / RMT? Do something worthwhile and good for EvE and cause tears and anguish for others, while doing absolutely nothing yourself! Join up. |

So basically you want to kill covert ops, recons, black ops, blockade runners....no
I would not be opposed to some module that could disrupt cloaking in a radius though.
Thoughts expressed are mine and mine alone. They do not necessarily reflect my alliances thoughts.
