Still 3 or 4 months of development to go, there will be a full trailer in March if all goes to plan. CS3 has been taking a lot longer than I anticipated, partly due to the amount of New Stuff we are doing, but also partly because it's simply a longer film!  Nearly there!

You can set it right at the end of the trailer when the camera zooms from space into the bridge so I guess it's still alive. Maybe some flashback to past events? Let the theory-crafting begin

right, now that I'm done with my case of the idiocy.....

and may I say that it looks like you've gotten a really good handle on everything this time around. By that I'm referring to the HL 2 animation--throwing punches, etc. Looks REALLY awesome.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll stay sitting behind this table for a few....months. I have a hard problem to solve and I can't wait to see how the CS3 plot thickens. I daresay John and his crew will be given the shaft a time or two, much like CSI and CSII

While a map compiles in Hammer I thought I'd pop on here There is an excellent level of speculation going on both on here and on YouTube regarding the Maelstrom/Tempest thing going on!
Regarding this trailer and the full one that will come later, I'll say these things:
1) There will be no spoilers. You'll just get action clips and exciting lines of dialogue.
2) Apart from, of course, the slight spoiler already that at some point they appear to end up in a Tempest again. I reiterate what I've said before, as someone correctly pointed out - it wouldn't be Clear Skies without a Tempest as the 4th crew member So that was already out there anyway, I defy any spoiler accusations with that hah
3) Everything has a reason. If the Tempest wingy bits are a different shape, if the capital ships look like a strange mix and in an odd formation, and all that - there is a reason, I'm not just being lazy. As for what those reasons are, I refer you to point 1) above and cackle evilly at your frustrations

May not exactly be a "spoiler". But, from the trailer we can see that "one unit of damsel in distress" will be making a return appearance. This could mean that the boys are once again working for Mr. Smith.

I played for a few months around 2005/06 but dropped out. Saw Clear Skies mid '09 and resubscribed.

Woohoo! Can't wait for Clear Skies III to come out. If I've watched I&II once, I've watched them fifty times. Ian and company did a great job on those two movies. I love the witty dialog a great music. |

Hello, just started watching the older videos and I'm liking the dialogue and creativity in utilizing different tools. One question, kind of from my character's standpoint...It's probably been asked before... but where is that poor man's pod? Why is he not suspended in amniotic fluid? The other pilots I've seen are also flying dry. Why is this?

Only just started playing eve...found out about CS and watched CS and CS2 today...absolutely brilliant....am hooked...as someone previously said....the "wingy bit" line is a corker...cant wait for CS3.... John give up your day job yer gotta new one!!!!

So I have a month (or two) to hook up our tv to the computer again to have a Clear Skies marathon, like I did when CS II came out. I get murdered by my wife if I don't do that......
She liked CS I & II at least as much as I did. And she doesn't even play EvE.... |

This excites me much
I still find myself going back to watch the old films from time to time. And after watching the teaser and reading the IC interview, I find myself very excited to see the final result.
Your dedication to this project is truly astounding, and I keep recommending the first two films to anyone I meet through my life in New Eden, who haven't yet experienced the joy of the Clear Skies films.
I believe this to be the one and only must-see series for anyone who plays Eve. Second to none!
I tip my hat to you, sir. Your films have made me enjoy this game more, and that's straight from the heart!

What Im really curious about is what happened to the maelstrom at the end of CS2? Hes flying a pest in the CS3 trailer (or at least theyre showing a pest) and seriously its been piquing my interest for a while

These are so theraputic, no matter how low and crappy I am feeling, to be able to watch or listen to them always picks me up, I start smiling and chuckling and before I know it, the low crappyness has been banished, bet you didn't realise you had become truley awsome therapists
These first two just nicley fitted on my phone, that way I could prety much watch or listen any time anywhere, guess it's time to go get a new media card in prep for CS3 being relesed, that way I can carry all 3 arround with me.

It does amaze me though how many long time EVE players I have talked to in game who have never seen Clear Skies.
The remastered Mutants soundtrack for the trailers is perfect!
