I want to say that I like the new features. They are intuitive and a little bit more dynamic.
However what CCP did not consider was how these changes would affect PI infrastructures that are ALREADY IN PLACE and placed in positions that allow the production chain to reach maximum efficiency.
I think an easy fix to the problem instead of refunding our extractors, they should have given us the option to reset the command center. I say this because the location of the command center was determined based on the variables of the old PI mechanics. So you go into planet view, you then decommission your CC, and are allowed to place it at a more suitable location based on the number of resources you want mined at a time.
Allowing us to refund our extractors did nothing for many players, myself included. Allowing us to replace the CC would give us the opportunity to make use of the planet efficiently (assuming there was a use for it at all).
For me personally, It isnt that my 1 planet chain is no longer usable that grinds my gears; It is all the headaches that I now have to go through to get a system going based on the new parameters that ****es me off.
CCP: I'm okay with you trying to make 1 planet chains impossible without spending a ****load of time micro managing PI, and I appreciate you guys trying to make some rather static elements of the game more dynamic; Just don't put us in a situation where we now have spend hours or days re doing everything.

Your command center doesn't need to be near the rest of your buildings so why's this a problem? Half of mine are on the other side of the planet from my CC... ---------------- A million faces, each a million lies |

well yeah, I noticed that with the new PI mechanics you can place extractors wherever. I'm also assuming you're using an Elite CC. Now unless I'm mistaken the further a building was from your Command Center the more resources it required with the older system.
But what I am saying is that they should have given you the option to decommission the entire thing and get a refund, or "Disassemble" the command center and beam it up to the customs office for pick up. Would have helped with the planets that were useless. Because from what I've read alot of people have had to do extra work to get their PI production going again. Before I had 2 plasma planets going. 1 of them was a little further away, and now I don't need it. I would have liked the option to remove it without feeling like I wasted time setting it all up.

Where your CC is is irrelevant, it does not affect your colony in any way, as long as you dont link to it.

Well it may sound interesting for you but I always use command centers. spaceports useless. I dont import anything to planets, and they requires to be in system but my planets far away from me. I visit them once every 5 days. So i use command centers to make launch when 50-70 container piled up in space I go and collect them before burn.
