"Italian scientists claim to have demonstrated cold fusion (w/ Video)"
http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-01-italian-scientists-cold-fusion-video.html
"Rossi and Focardi explain that the reaction produces radiation, providing evidence that the reaction is indeed a nuclear reaction and does not work by some other method. They note that no radiation escapes due to lead shielding, and no radioactivity is left in the cell after it is turned off, so there is no nuclear waste. "
It produces radiation but you can't detect it because the shields... and theres none left inside afterwards because its clean, so just trust us its there.
"The fact that Rossi and Focardi chose to reveal the reactor at a press conference, and the fact that their paper lacks details on how the reactor works, has made many people uncomfortable"
"Steven B. Krivit, publisher of the New Energy Times, noted that Rossi and FocardiĘs reactor seems similar to a nickel-hydrogen low-energy nuclear reaction (LENR) device originally developed by Francesco Piantelli of Siena, Italy, who was not involved with the current demonstration. In a comment, Rossi denied that his reactor is similar to PiantelliĘs, writing that ōThe proof is that I am making operating reactors, he is not.ö Krivit also noted that Rossi has been accused of a few crimes, including tax fraud and illegally importing gold, which are unrelated to his research."
So its eerily similar to another nuclear device, made in italy, but its not the same thing because he's making them and the other guy just invented it.

lol these guys seem to don't even know what "fusion" is, talking about it you need at least 100M degrees C to get deuterium and tritium to fuse, and you MUST get He atoms after the fusion. Cold fusion? I don't think so...

i'm no physicist and my knowlege on the area is limited but... converting 400w in 1200w of energy?
isn't there something called "entropy" that prevents that same thing of happen in the first place? hell, even creating energy out of nowhere lol. ---

Edited by: Culmen on 24/01/2011 03:03:09 So someone has replicated North Korea's methods, results and documenting process! Awesome!
I look forward to reading it in the New England Journal of Sh!t I Made Up and further more why do i even need a sig? |

Edited by: Sturmwolke on 24/01/2011 04:17:53 I have more faith in the Bussard Polywell IEC reactor than cold fusion. WB8 testing hasn't been published yet (if ever since it's under a US Navy contract), it'll be interesting when/if it comes out.

lol
Cold fusion = No released energy = no point = no fusion.

That would be possible if a bias casimir force was able to be created.

The idea is that they're converting mass into energy, the same as with any nuclear reactor.
